How effective would the Cleric Dilly be on this build before 15?
With Ranger's wand access, are you really picking up much healing there?
I have recently tried out the Cleric dilly on my character who is currently a 9 pally/9 monk/2 fighter build for the Pally PL, and I love it. I have always been a believer in UMD, but having nearly no fail Heal Scrolls minus all the UMD gear swapping and skill boosting has been great.
It has saved many wipes while soloing and pugging, which is a bulk of how I play. I am just wondering how well it will do beore 15 if I don't need it for wands.
I also wonder how much less spectacular it is going to feel without max con/and all the extra monk and pally healing amp.
Also, where would you slot a GS HP item for leveling up, and for end game...I am currently grinding out the last 3 levels before TR, and plan on making a GS HP item, as well as finishing a GS Lit 2 Khopesh(at tier 2 from former life), and making a Lit2 Longbow.
Lastly, how you you feel about swapping Khopesh for Stunning blow? It seems like all the epics i run, CC is taken care of, and I'm not sure how much more gear I would need to get an effective DC. I have a pretty extensive HW and Khopesh collection, so was planning on switching between the 2 based on the Fort levels.
The Khopesh collection is not loaded with greensteel, and would be fairly easily replaced, so not that committed to it, is quick draw, and another martial weapon choice a better idea?
I'm playing a 32 point build so I have no past lives and I plan on using handwraps for melee. I took toughness at level 6 instead of the pally past life and I will take quickdraw at 9 instead of extend. Should I take a second toughness at 8 on my second monk level or should I take something else like improved sunder?
Long ago, before the half-elf appeared on the scene, I proposed a nearly identical build using an elf.
http://forums.ddo.com/showthread.php?t=235746
See specifically the "Beastly Archer" (second one I proposed in that thread).
It was perhaps the most underappeciated build of it's time, and it is still relevant for those who do not have access to Half-elf and who only have 28 pts. to work with -- a "poor man's" version of the OP's build.

Very nice build. If only I had access to the half-elf race I would definitely roll one of these.
I think that Khopesh is better than heavy picks though, since the things just don't crit often enough to make that x4 multiplier shine. Also, heavy picks are quite rare. Nonetheless, very nice.
It's very useful, I started using it when I had 50% chance, while it was somewhat annoying, still made soloing much much easier. With some heal amp you can get 150ish off scrolls easy, with end-game gear I'm healing myself for 188. (I still have it at cap since I'm too lazy to swap items often and too lazy to get SF favor)
I use HP cloak for leveling (mostly because I have an old one, but it's still a decent slot). I'd go for permablur/displace clickies for leveling, I regret not making one of those every time I TR a melee lol. Soloing while maintaining bravery streak on a melee = lot of time spent trying to open doors and lot of broken equipmentAlso, where would you slot a GS HP item for leveling up, and for end game...I am currently grinding out the last 3 levels before TR, and plan on making a GS HP item, as well as finishing a GS Lit 2 Khopesh(at tier 2 from former life), and making a Lit2 Longbow.
At cap I just use goggles that I swap for Tharnes in certain situations, mostly I just run without a HP item.
Right now, unless you're running some very specific epic content (Von3, DQ1, maybe Sentinels but those are easy anyway) stunning is meh, unless you run with horribad bluebars, everything gets wailed/circled/fingered/PKed/PWKed or in case it's orange name stoned/held anyway. That might change with more high-end drow content in the (near?) future. Don't get me wrong - stunning is always nice, but if you find yourself missing too much on high AC mobs, it's definitely silly not to take khopesh prof (mostly depends on past lives and available gear).Lastly, how you you feel about swapping Khopesh for Stunning blow? Since I suspect that Crystal Cove is going to be here fairly soon, how well would the items in that event (http://ddowiki.com/page/Category:Tre...stal_Cove_loot) work with this build?
Spyglass is always nice for UMD, other than that... meh. I guess cutlasses are ok-ish if you don't want to go the khopesh route.

Hi - I have a lvl 19 guy with this build. So far it has been my best toon for pure fun. I do find the Ac very squishy though since he tends to only top out at around 36 when fully buffed. Currently I am using silken mail (non-epic) and I have the minos helm for fortification. What are some good tips for items to look out for to buff the AC on this guy. Here are some of my items (I am at work and I really cannot remember all my items)
Minos Helm
Golden Guile necklace (For the improved chance of sneak attack dmg and the blur)
Silken mail
Con Cloak +6
Belt - ?
Goggles - Blindness Resist
Spectral Gloves
Ring - ?
Ring +6 Str
Wind Howler Bracers
Trinket - Bloodstone/Xoriat Shard
Boots - Sprint +30%/FF (I am looking for madstone)
Weapons 2 Keen Khopeshes/LitII Bow
I am just looking for some ideas on items that I could grind for that could seriously improve my ac while not dropping my DPS. (I was thinking of maybe icy raiments - but the drop rate is so gross)
TRing into a halfling rapier ACish build of this, expect it to be a ton of fun. Prob gonna go stalwart for the extra hp/ac since i still need to run tod for my rings and ppl LOVE ac tanks there.
Expect it to be a ton of fun![]()
I have a similar build - it will be something closer to this after a life or two ... but I have to echo the comment above about some of the challenge epics - even the base epics. The Ring of the STalker and Frozen Tunic, even unupgraded, rock. Much.
Ghallanda - now with fewer alts and more ghostbane
Not sure if somebody said this already, didnt have time to read entire thread, but I would think you could just take WF: Ranged, WS: Ranged, then GWS: Ranged to qualify for Kensai II. Would save a feat not having to take the Focus and Spec for Pierce or slash. Just take Improved Critical for your melee and make your kensai signature weapon be ranged. This will probably be null once the enhancment overhaul hits but figured id say it anyways.
Thelanis - Active Toons -> Gyversix, Lootforge, Reyvhin, Darkmeat, Yukka, Raypac

I reached lvl 20 with this build and my umd was a whopping 11.5 (wow). I know that CHA will buff UMD, however I checked and Heal scrolls require a UMD of 40. Thats quite a hike from 11.5 and it would be pretty inconvenient for me to have to do 3-4 gear swaps every time I wanna use a heal scroll. Did I miss something levelling here?
