    Default Can fvs solo epics?

Hi all, I haven't played much at the epic game and will be buying fvs for Monday's sale (yay!) so I was just wondering if fvs can solo epics and if so, what type of build?

Sorry if it's a silly question.

Not a silly question at all.

Yes, it is very possible for FvS to solo many epic quests. They have everything needed - self-healing, good damage spells, and speed. Although it all comes down to playstyle and how many resources you want to use, as well as your gearout. FvS have an easier time than many other classes though!

    Thanks for the speedy reply!

Great, I have only enough for either fvs OR wf, and I love playing clerics so thought fvs would also be awesome even though the spell selection is more limited than what I'm used to.

Offensive spells build would be better than melee build you think?

Offensive spell builds are great with FvS, once you get blade barrier you never look back!

Although I do love my WF melee FvS!

I disagree with the other posters in the sense that only about 1% of the player base can solo an epic on any character type and my guess is as a newer player this would not be attainable by you without alot of game time investment. What is more important then build is practicing your playing skills. What you have to do is practice using the blade barrior spell over and over because as an FVS trying to solo epics that will be your predominate tool. Another important point is really only certain epic are soloable by an FVS without using massive resources (50ish mana pots). An example of a soloable epic quest by an FVS is Epic Von4.

As a sorc I used to solo 4-5 epic quests a night, however after update 7 I am only able to farm Claw of Vulkoor. How do FvS get around the sound burst spam in epics now? Pre U7 protection from evil stopped sound burst, now it does not.

I agree with this, some of the posts in this thread gives the impression that soloing epic is easy on a fvs. Some people managed to do it here or there, but it certainly doesn't represent the norm. You won't be able to do until you've done the epic quests enough with groups to really know and understands the mechanics of the quest.

FvS are good at soloing everything up to epics. Well, except raids.
