    Exclamation AA FvS?

    ok i went and read around the forums for a good AA build... well, it turns out i read to much and my brain went mushy. can anyone help me?

    i want at least FvS 17 for Leap of Faith and the minimal heals and buffs, and i think i need at least 1 ranger maybe 2. monk sounds like it might fit in good from what my non-flaccid brain could comprehend, and IDk the rest hehe!

    17 favored soul, 2 ranger, 1 fighter/monk. The fighter bonus feat can be used better, but if you really want monk, monk might work too. Of course, doing a feat shuffle every now and then will help tremendously.

    Unfortunately, you'll still need a natural dex of at least 19 to get all of the bow feats you'll need to make this build work. This means you'll be extremely short on build points: if you have a +2 or +3 tome you can drop the corresponding stat down a bit to help out but...

    You can look at the link in my sig for the Blade Kiter for some thoughts on a FvS-AA.

    I have tried many variations, and the bottom line is you cannot do it all (be a top healer, have great DCs, have maxed out Blade Barriers, have all the ranged feats) so you have to choose and define what it is you want out of the build.

    I have currently settled on a pure FvS-AA with the Searing Light capstone, high DC Blade Barriers, raid level healing and ranged to add to kiting damage.

    A case can certainly be made for 1wizard 1ranger splash, if one wanted a more ranged based character. 17 levels of FvS is too few for me, I don't feel I can heal at a frenetic pace in epics without it efficiently, at least not the way we run quests and raids. If you are going 17 levels consider cleric.

    I recently did one for my wife.

    As the previous poster says, you can't do it all on one of these, there just aren't the feats to manage it.

    This version is more archer than other things. It can heal itself well but and can heal others somewhat, but not as well as a true raid healer. It has decent but not top notch blade barrier. It doesn't have improved precise shot so archery is single target.

    What its good at is being just about impossible to kill and having lots of ways to strike from safety.

    It also takes a loooong time to develop and needs every level to develop its true play style.
