    Question is this a good build??

    im kindda new at this build making stuff, but i think this might be a good 2 bastard sword DPS self healing thingy. (i dont really know what to call it yet!!)

    Woah, i didnt know how ugly that looks this it just as codes, lol! i hope this looks better as all the colours and stuff.

    yeah you kindda start out rough it works out... later :'(

    and yeah you can change out the other raise and ress when you get the next one and shiels of faith for the mass and simple stuff like that but it mite take 6,9, or 12 days lol!

    Not bad. The damage won't compare to high end melee toons, but you've got a good stat distribution there.

    The feats on the other hand, need a little work.

    Mental toughness is not needed on a favored soul, you'll have plenty of mana without it, and frankly, you're going to be a little feat starved as you're trying to heal and dps.

    The same goes for eschew materials.

    So, what I would do is drop those three, use two to grab ITWF and GTWF, and use the last one in empower healing so you can heal late game.

    Also: always worth considering Khopesh over Bastard Sword, though I understand if you prefer the swords.

    Kudos for getting quicken, though I'd move it up a little bit.

    One final note for enhancements: as soon as you get quicken, you can drop the concentration line, and move the points wherever you see fit.

    I suggest you look at some of the other TWF Favored Soul builds available on the forums. There's a lot of problems with your build, and unfortunately, I don't have time to go through them all. As a quick summary, drop Charisma for more Wisdom, Dex to the minimum for GTWF, and dump all of your feats except Toughness, TWF, and maybe Quicken if you can fit it in. Then look at the builds I mentioned and determine what feats you really need. Oh, and don't use Bastard Swords, they aren't worth the feat unless you have some truly amazing ones already in the bank. Even then, they probably aren't worth it once you get some decent khopeshes.

    what is the difference between the khopesh and the bastard sword? ive never seen anything except how they look.

    Damage: (1-8) 1d8 + 0 Slash
    Critical Roll: (10%/3-24) 19 - 20 / x3

    Bastard Sword
    Damage: (1-10) 1d10 + 0 Slash
    Critical Roll: (10%/2-20) 19 - 20 / x2

    While the bastard sword appears better at first, when you're doing 1d8+a bajillion damage late game, the x3 crit modifier matters more. Much more. Saw a screenshot of a guy getting 2d8+52 iirc

    I wouldn't worry about the Wisdom unless you're planning to do some CC, which I assume you aren't (if you are, drop the dex to 8 and go for a THF instead). I imagine quicken will be needed since you'll get getting bopped a lot in front-line combat.

    Drop Mental Toughness and Improved Mental Toughness, you have plenty of sp as a Favored Soul.

    Drop Eschew Materials, it's one of the most useless feats in the game.

    Get TWF at 1st level, not 12th level. Pick up ITWF and GTWF when your BAB allows it.

    Put the ability increases into Str, not Cha. Items can be used to get your Cha high enough to cast your highest level spells. The extra Str will increase your melee capabilities.

    Drop the skill points in Heal and put them into Diplomacy instead.

    There are better weapons to dual wield than bastard swords. Unless you already have some good bastard swords reserved for this character, you are better of dual wielding long swords, since being favored by the Sovereign Host will get you bonuses to using long swords.


    EDIT: Also, forget about getting any offensive spells with this character. Stick to healing and buffs. You don't have the wisdom to cast anything offensive.

    Too much infoclutter in build to filter through it to find the feats.


    Stats are okay for melee + heals.
    Erzskalde (Warchanter) / Erzassassin (just passing through - ignore me) / Erzsoldat (waiting for TR-time) / Erzschmied (ranged Artificer)

    The way I see it, you have two basic options for a TWF pure human FvS:

    • Dump-stat WIS and ignore offensive spells to focus on melee DPS, buffs, and heals. Start base stats something like 16 / 15 / 14 / 12 / 8 / 12 (I like extra skill pts and you don't need a lot of base CHA IMHO) and put all your lvl-ups into STR. Depending on your priorities, take 8 of the following feats: Toughness, TWF x3, Imp Crit Slash, Power Attack, khopesh (or stick with longswords), Quicken, Extend, Emp / Emp Heal / Maximize.
    • Do something like Impaqt's Superior Soul: caster-focused, but enough STR & melee feats to do decent DPS (for longswords, anyway).

    In both cases you'll notice you end up feat-constrained; there's no way to fit in everything you could want for melee and spells. So you have to make some tough choices about what your build & gameplay priorities are.
