As I advocated in a suggestion thread a few months back what they should do is give the leader of the raid group the option upon entering the raid to make is so the chests can not be opened until completion of the raid. That solves all of these issues and griefing.

So make everyone have to complete to get anything? That doesnt resolve anything other than giving people less options.

If we are going to havew a game mechanic that requires you to farm for ingredients, then having the options to farm the specific parts you need is a good thing.

Its not the game mechanics that need changing, its peoples attitudes who feel they need to grief others when they specifically were informed what those others wanted.

What it does is give the group the option of all or none. If the group decides it does want to loot along the way then the group leader does not pull lever which locks the chests until completion. These griefers are people that do not want to go along with the group's wishes which is where the friction comes in.

TY for bringing this to light. I haven't noticed it as of late but I will start paying attention.

pig farms are simply the best for disposing bodies. other than that, try to have an abandoned limestone quarry in your back yard.

I have DC'd from Shroud twice. Once it was for a short enough time that all I lost was part 1 chests. The second time was as I was looting the ing chest in part 5, cuold see the large scale in the list. When I reconnected I was outside in Meridia.

As far as leaving, I TRY to make sure I stay until completion of whatever I am in. Either way I will make sure to try to let people know what is going on.
Yeah, I told Boldrin what happened. It was pretty laughable(cause I flipped out thinkin the hubby didn't pay the electric bill..haha)...but he understood

Having people DC during the raid and clearly not coming back is totally disrespectful. As someone above me said before, how much more time does the group spend waiting for that person because they are trying to do the right thing and not leave anyone behind...
In the same idea, I had something similar happen a month or so back, I was running on Ghallanda in a group that was completing but with ddoor, you know usual stuff. Well, the guild who had put up the lfm decided at the end of part 4 that this was taking them too long and they ported out. They took 2-4 dps, one of the healers and maybe the only arcane. Mind you when they started talking about it in voice chat we thought they were just joking around. Needless to say the group fell apart and I had just wasted 40 or so min.
So keep that in mind the next time you are about to hit that Shroud LFM on Ghallanda advertising that they have Jesus or something like that...

Anytime on any server there is an LFM advertising anything pertaining to religion, that is a sure sign that you do not want to click on that LFM.

Ya know norg, it doesnt really matter if half the party stays back and loots/crafts anyways.
It is not like the outcome will be any different when it is over.

If they don't have Hastur, or Yogg-Sototh, they only have a 50/50 chance of completing anyway.
