New LOTRO Account Linked to DDO Account?

I want to try out LOTRO F2P but before I do I want to use my turbine account associated with DDO so that in the event I decide to subscribe to both, I can keep the accounts together. I have tried to create a LOTRO account using my turbine account name, but it says the name is invalid for some reason and doesn't give me any details. Can anyone tell me what I need to do to sign up for a f2p account with LOTRO using my existing turbine account?
