Its not nearly as valuable as the Scroll of the Gloves of the Claw, and anyone really worried about DPS would be much better served going for that. There are other ways to get the set that do not include the gloves.

I agree with sirgog - between Turbine's weighted dice and the fact that the gloves help complete the Abashi set, the Charged Gloves are likely the second best item to drop from the Chronoscope raid. It's worth more than 1.5 million plat you'd get after the auctions cut.

They actually do a little more dps than the claw set i believe to lightning vulnerable mobs...saying that in autocrit situations claw set for the win...i know what il be using.

U cant gem only works with the claw gloves not the bracers. Read the item description it will tell you which specific piece it replaces.

I'm pretty sure I had my set completed before you even started running the Fens, at least my first set. Although I may have won some rolls betwen Chett and Hanam.

Except that it's 100 damage on every 20th attack - 5 damage (not multiplied by crits) for 1 item slot, compared to 4 damage (multiplied by crits, which on Khopeshes becomes a bit under 6 damage per swing) for two item slots. And the Charged Gauntlets doesn't have the side effect of adding 20% threat, which makes the Claw set unusable in some fights.

Much better value per slot than the Claw set is.
