Default Do we even CARE if MyDDO is not updating?

Not trolling here, but asking a serious question. MyDDO has been broken for a long time, does anyone particularly miss it?

    I certainly don't.

In fact, the whole "Big Brother is Watching you!" nonsense you used to see in LFM's was a bunch of tedious foolishness that I am glad to be rid of.

Would it make sense to toss MyDDO under the bus at this point, leave the character view page broken or just disable it, and allocate those resources to something more beneficial?

    Am I crazy?

I don't care much either... Until the shut down Keeper last August I didn't use it ( as we didn't have it in Europe )...
And I'm still not using it as my characters are not updating anyway.

Oh, and I don't use it for screening, as I find the friend/guildies vouching more reliable, than asking for gear or build.

Eh, I miss it a little - I liked being able to take a look at my stats/gear/progress from outside the game. As a newbie, if I had questions about my builds, it was an easy way to have vets see where I was weak and where I was strong. Not a "must have", more of a "convenience".

I used it a lot. Raid timers, builds, items I need on other characters that BtA...everything that stops me logging off to check, allows me to to keep track of levelups and dates on quests I've ransacked. Plus it allows other people to see my characters if they find them useful.

Many new players have accessed characters they have run with to see how they can be more effective.

I hardly ever used my.ddo to accept a player into a run unless it was an important position. Like a caster on epic DQ or ToD needed to have some hp as I wasn't risking a 200hp caster handling important roles.

I miss it a lot since I started using it as the hassles it got rid of that allowed me to access details ingame, are priceless.

I miss it for being able to check the gear of my other characters, so if I'm in dire need of something right away I know who to borrow it from.

I do wish it would actually work. I could keep track of character stats better let alone the automatic raid trackers would work then.

    Yes, I'm lazy.

While I must admit that it has been nice to see those MYDDO is watching you LFMs go away, I do miss it.

I like to look at my chars occasionally....at work.

I have a ton of stuff on mules and some new player guildies, who I would like to be able to see if I have something they caould use on their chars.

And I'm occasionally curious about someone else's toon.. Either because they are so good or so bad.

Not that I discriminate. I just want to know.

To add a little: I have this belief that people dying all the time is not based on their build but is because of their playstyle.

I would like to be able to see some evidence one way or another.

And while I don't think people should give unsolicited advice. Some new guys actually ask for advice from time to time.

Oh, it's a bit of both, IMO.

Agreed. Low con, no fort, and then not getting the heck out of the way when they should knowing their build.

And then of course there are times when the game just says "I'm going to kill you."

I miss it. Always nice to lead a pug raid not knowing if the melees have heavy fort at all... I usually accepted the first 11 to hit lfm anyway but checked afterwards so I'd know who was the weakest link, and could give advice, or maybe go a different difficulty if the whole group was really bad.

If you're relying on the barbarian to pull the str lever in VON and he has 16 str and 26 dex, well, it's easy to be ineffective as a leader. Maybe the 24-str rogue with rage added on top would have been a better choice to assign that role... but you don't know because you didn't MyDDO!

In a guild group you usually know what you're getting, but in a pug every little bit of knowledge helps the party leader.

I used it every day to check toons I ran with that were good to see what they used, how their toon looked.

ALso used it to view my own stuff offline for quick review.

I loved it when it worked.

I just started using it and I think that, if working properly, it would be a pretty slick addition to the game.
