Need Help Updating Avatar on My.DDO

Today I was trying to update my avatar on my MyDDO page

I went to http://my.ddo.com/Theris/profile/change-avatar/ and uploaded a new picture, but I got this error message:

"The uploaded file could not be moved to the upload folder."

I've tried the following files thinking it could have been file type or file size or image size issues:

• DDOcast.png - 150x150 - 7.97K
• DDOcast.gif - 120x120 - 8.73K
• DDOcast.jpg - 150x150 - 41.3K

I was also trying to clean up my NextGEN Gallery and in the process Gallries IDs 1, 2, 3 and 4 were deleted. Would this effect the Upload Location for the avatar file?

If anyone can think of a work around, let me know. I'll also issue a bug report.

I am getting the same "The uploaded file could not be moved to the upload folder" message - and to make matters worse, I deleted my old avatar thinking this would help.

Same here, I deleted my Avatar thinking I could upload another but when I tried I also got the "The uploaded file could not be moved to the upload folder." message. I turned in a ticket and was told to try uploading via FireFox. Still no luck. Anyone heard of when this problem might be fixed? To be quite honest the generic DDO avatar is slightly annoying.

so theres no resolution for this yet i wonder if DDO is gonna do anything about this i have been waiting 6 months from DDO staff on this problem and have not heard a **** word from them i keep submiting tickets but no answer *** FIX the darn avatar issue in game please and thank you

Worked for me just now - started with a JPG file (not jpeg) that was 200x152 and cropped it to 150x150 using the avatar upload tool under IE8

Been trying to update avatar for the last couple weeks and receiving...

The uploaded file could not be moved to the upload folder.

Tried various images with no luck, including my old avatar.

Also, tried to file bug report, but the link goes to 404.

I have this issue as well when I tried to update my avatar. I have also tried to reupload my old avatar and it gave me the exact error message you guys got.

Success! As they're working through some MyDDO issues, the web devs have successfully corrected the avatar upload issue! You should now be able to change your avatars in MyDDO without getting the "The uploaded file could not be moved to the upload folder." Enjoy, and we'll keep working on the other MyDDO systems (like character updates)!

Have they corrected the character sheets not updating?
Mine haven't updated in months.

My characters just updated in My.DDO after waiting since September! Yeah!

My re-roll doesn't work right but that's always been a problem.
