    Default What effects does Lich form have/questions?

    The ingame spell description is a bit unclear.

    So far:

    +2 int
    +4 con
    +1 necro spell dc
    Immunity to crits
    Uses negative energy to heal
    No positive healing
    Immunity to cc (stuns/dominate/negative levels?)
    Water breathing
    Unarmed hits inflict wounds (useless?)
    Gain temporary hitpoints on hit (how many and how long do they last?)

    Anything I am missing or didn't clarify properly?

    +100% fortification, i.e. you can use Yogo pots for +2 int

    wis and cha +2 as well, so I suppose +1ac if monk-splashed, and +1 UMD for the rest of us.

    Not sure on the duration, but 30 temp HP (can't tell if it procs separately from lifeshield since in most situations I use it in at least, it's up then gone frequently, but I do know it doesn't stack)

    Lich Specific:
    • +2 WIS
    • +2 INT
    • +2 CHA
    • +4 CON
    • Chance of 30 temporary Hit Points when physically harmed (no time limit)
    • +1 bonus to Necromancy Difficulty Checks
    • Deal 1d8 + 1 negative energy per unarmed strike, DC 11 Will save for half


    Undead Traits:
    • +100% Fortification
    • 100% Healing from Negative Energy
    • Immunity to Positive Energy
    • Immunity to Repair Energy
    • Immunity to Untyped Healing
    • Immunity to most mind-affecting Enchantments (Feeblemind, Touch of Idiocy, Command, Dancing)
    • Immunity to Sleep
    • Immunity to Disease
    • Immunity to Poison
    • Immunity to Blindness (Sleet Storm still applies)
    • Immunity to Daze
    • Immunity to Paralysis (Fleshlings are still prone to having flesh paralysis from gelatinous cubes)
    • Immunity to Fear
    • Immunity to Fatigue effects
    • Immunity to most Stuns (Power Word Stun still hits)
    • Immunity to Death magic
    • Immunity to Energy Drain
    • Immunity to Negative Levels (including alignment-based item incompatibilities)
    • Type changes to Undead for many effects including:
      • Extra Damage from Searing Light
      • Extra Damage from Sunburst
      • Immune to Horrid Wilting
      • Affected by Halt Undead
      • Vulnerable to Undead Bane
      • Vulnerable to Chill Touch: Fear
      • Immune to previous Racial Bane


    I've certainly missed a few. Some of those may have bugged issues on fleshlings. There are also other issues such as certain Flesh to Stone effects work on Warforged who don an Undead Shroud.

    It is also important to note: the +100% fortification stacks with other sources. Slap a Minos Legens on a Lich and you have 200% fortification.

    The spell Searing Light has a special aspect that deals higher damage to undead creatures (much like Chaos Hammer should deal extra damage to Monks with Perfect Self). A Ghaele's Light Ray does not have that extra aspect like Searing Light. They are working as they should.

    Has anyone ever tried using Power Word: Stun against undead monsters to see if it hits?

    The fear effect from chill touch will still hit you even if you are wearing a fear immunity item.

    You can take stat damage, but are unable to drink lesser restore potions to fix said damage.

    Negative levels acquired before entering form do not go away while in form.

    Lich temp HP stacks with either concordant opposition or the DQ bracers, I'm not sure which one. Haven't seen more than 60 temp hp at once so I'm presuming two of these items do not stack with each other.

    It works.



    Power Words Blind and Stun work on undead (and constructs). Power Word Kill requires the target to be living.

    I recall an immunity message to that one when I was flinging spells at myself in the House Jorasco PvP pit, but I just checked it 5 minutes ago in the Sands of Menetcharun and was nailed with Burning Blood in either undead form. It was removed from the list for now.

    Default Quick related note.

    Ok, you know the basic Schtick for high end wraith/lich necro's in this game right? Well if you don't you should. Talk about melting faces. Anyway, fighting in undead form for little or no mana consumption is fairly simple. Go lich/wraith, put on your best necro items, keep your aura on, and blast/burst them all to death...
    This works as long as a friendly cleric has not buffed you with "death ward." When the group is huddled and the cleric is casting the AoE buffs, just walk away. With constant regen, and bonus' from either form, for the most part you aren't going to need those buffs anyway.
    If a cleric has cast death ward on you while in undead form, you will no longer regenerate from your aura until you recast your undead form on yourself. I found out by a very emberrassing death at the spider ambush rare in the vale of twilight. Cleric thought it was funny as #$^& to cast that while I was in the middle of the spiders soloing.

    Haven't tried PM yet, but how does the wraith form work out? I've heard it stacks with displacement, which would make it awesome for sitting inside a firewall in tights spots.

    Confirmed, stacks with displacement. I still like lich better. I rarely stand inside a firewall, preferring to circle kite mobs through instead. It's my ADD. I just don't like standing still. =P
