    Default "no bads"?

Was this a big EU thing? I had not seen it until recently, but now see it quite often. Has this just randomly caught on for some strange reason?

P.S. I have no idea why, but it aggravates me to no end!

mmm, this is used as an internal name for characters various members of the guild would choose not to group with.

It seems top have gone server wide.

It was a term coined/used by Dizzy back in the day when he actually played, that was then taken up by members of the guild Loot, and has now become somewhat of a misused fad by random people on the server who would probably be included in its definition.

Bads is a term referring to someone who is "a bad," meaning "a bad player." Bads typically appeared on a Bads List, which would be the same thing as a DNG (do not group) list, with the exception of being not as severe (as in, you might take Bads on a raid if you have a mostly good setup, while DNG people you would tell to go fall down some stairs and take a bot, hireling, or your invisible yet reliable friend Arlos for the open spot or spots).

Bads were often not truly bad, per se, as in they were semi-competent players, but just not up to the higher standards of some raid leaders. In this i mean they could often follow directions and knew a raid, but couldn't be counted on to know what to do if something went horribly wrong on the raid (and would probably run around screaming 'WRYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY' instead of helping fix the situation).

Bads, not being as severe as DNG, are often taken on raids for re-evaluation of their Bad status (i.e. to see if they had improved).

TLR -> "no Bads" means "no people that I think will be a liability to the group," and you can blame Dizzy for it's appearance on Cannith (as far as I know)

I'm genuinely confused by this. I, too, thought it was some sort of definition as cited above. "No bad players."

However, a couple young people in our guild said that is also used to say "no bad attitudes" or "hey, this is going to be a relaxed group" in colloquial speak.

I can't keep up or make sense of the teenagers. Anyway, just throwing that out there.

I dont know anything about its coinage, as it is a term used in many other MMO's I have played, long predating DDO, but Ivanov's definition is the correct one in its standard usage.
