    Default Suggest me another game

    Hi All

As you all know, recently leveled up to 20. Been running the raids. I have the following raids from the Adv packs I have:

    1) Reaver's fate
    2) SoS
    3) Shroud
    4) Hox and VoD
    5) ToD

So after completing all of them, I have to wait 66 hours. I do not want to do any other quests as of now. So in the meantime I wait for the timer, please suggest me a good MMORPG to play.

    thnx

There are always epic quests to be done...

Turbine, you can hire more developers for the game. We operate on a giant Theocracy of Debt, so go all out finding developers for the best MMO out there

No offense, but if you can't wait 3 days to run the raids again to get the loot you want, I don't think MMOs are the style of gameplay for you. That said, if you buy the Vale pack you can run Shroud 7 times before ransacking for loot to build good endgame gear, and as suggested you can run epics. You could get another character to level 20 so you can run the raids with other characters in between. That said, you could play the other turbine sponsored games, go with WOW like some do, or check out Age of Conan which I hear has promise. Good luck.

Is it because of server-overload issues they have this timer?

It is to keep you from getting all the named loot you need in just a few days.
All mmo's do this as far as i know.

I m really sorry. I DO NOT run raids for loot. My level 20 barb does good damage already. The loots will come over time, guaranteed. I play raids cos its more fun than quests and more challenging.

Epic Chains of Flame is more challenging than any raid ingame, except maybe ToD elite.

Yeah, not sure where you get the idea that raids are the most challenging content in the game, unless you are referring to the difficulty of getting 12 competent people together instead of 6.

There are a lot of good games out there, some of them are even free or reasonably close to it. But if you like DDO, it seems kind of silly to me to run off and spend money on another game when you haven't even gotten all the raid content for this game.

Though you may just be misinformed about whether you like DDO since you seem intent on skipping the lvl 20 content in favor of running lower level stuff like the raids.

    Can do:
    - roll an alt, second, third character. MMO's are designed for this. If you now have a barbarian, roll something different, lets say a Wizard or FvS, a 'blue bar' char. The same quest can be much different if you are barb or cleric.
    - lowman, solo stuff. Things are much different if you are not in full, perfect party. More challanging.
    - perfect your favor with different factions
    - True Reincarnate. You keep all loot, but start from lvl 1 with bigger char.
    - do Perma Death or something like that

It's the same with any MMO. All have limited 'default' content. To get more, you create your own content.

I'm alt-o-holic and multiclass-o-holic that likes to solo, lowman quests. I also like to collect Bloodstones. Don't need them, just like to collect

Depends if you want to play for free or not. You can try LotRO which is F2P now. About all the other free MMO's are money-grabbing rackets aimed at 12-year old boys (of all ages). If you don't mind a sub there's of course the usual suspects to chose from. Regardless, no other MMO plays like DDO.

Another consideration is to dive into non-online games. I know when I did the raid grind many moons ago (module 4-9 era) some of the time gaps were filled in with games I either wanted to replay again at some point or never got around to (such as Temple of Elemental Evil, Wizardry 8, Armies of Exigo, Disciples, Dragon Age, Dungeons and Dragons: Dragonshard, Etherlords, King's Bounty, Heroes of Might and Magic V, Neverwinter Nights II, Oblivion, Sacred, Digital Devil Saga, Persona 4, Kartia, Shadow Hearts 2: Covenant, Destiny of an Emperor, Dynasty Tactics 2, Dragon Warrior 8, Brave Fencer Musashi, Arcana, Demon's Crest, Starfox, the Grandia series, Front Mission 3 & 4, Wild Arms 1-4, several Castlevania games, more Megaman games than I care to admit). The forced timers in DDO helped keep me from burnout and I caught up with quite a few other games (perhaps even an insane amount) I meant to get around to.

However, if you seek something with an online presence that is understandable.

You could try sleeping and eating. That probably would take up half of the 66 hours

I heard this game is cool:

I like guild wars. (no monthly subscription).

LOTRO is not bad if you like the WOW type experience. (same f2p/pay model as DDO).

Magic the Gathering online is pretty fun if you want to go way off in another direction. (you only buy the digital cards...no monthly subscription).

Yeah, only got it from hearing, haven't actually played it yet

Anyway, guild wars is quite good as is lotro.

(But there's no place like ddo.)

I would suggest OP play My Little Pony MMO while waiting.

I hear all the 1-trick players love it.

Really if you think you do good damage or have mastered the game with only one class under your belt.

    Here is your clue.

    /noobs .... really.

I was disappointed with "Outside" MMORPG, the housing costs on my server were astronomical.

For the OP I'd suggest looking at WoWoW (World of World of Warcraft)
It's the sequel to Wow :
