Default Gearing up for 2nd Life

planning to TR in the near future.

Right now I have a capped cleric. As soon as I have two other toons in shroud range - a fighter and a FvS, I am planning of TR'ing the cleric. The second life I am considering is Wizard. The ultimate plan is to TR an 2nd time, back into a cleric class. The reason for Wizzy id the past life feat. The +2 to spell pen checks seems to be a really sweet bonus to any caster class. I was also considering the FvS class as well. But since I have a low level FvS already, I am not really keen leveling two in a row.

So, I am trying to plan accordingly. I have a gear mule all set up and want to start stuffing it with gear for a Wizard run. Outside of the normal + stat gear, what kind of gear should I consider putting into storage for the toon? Stock up on wands? scrolls? clickies? Should I grind for things like the regalia in the IQ? Right now I have two green steel items, one cleansed, one not - Con/Op goggles and Trip Earth HP Bracers. Can I use both items once I hit the min level?

Any tips or insight you could provide would be greatly beneficial.

There is only one item you simply must have before true ressing.

A pendant of time. Don't forget it!!!

Also grab a keen falchion of maiming or bleeding from ah and get Icey burst added to it. Oh and a holy maul and add frost.

You can pot up and muscle your way to firewall with a quickness.

    Few things...

Your GS items will work at level 11, so that was good to get those ready. If you're going wizard, you could make a GS +3 exceptional int item (if you have the mats) for an offhand when you hit 12 as well. Also, I would consider making a decent DT robe/docent for 16 when you get there.

Casters are really easy to get by without loads of gear. I would just stock up on SP items, pots, and stat items mostly. Should be a breeze to level back up to 20.

Good thought on the +3 exceptional int. I have most of the materials - can get it to tier 2 without any difficulty. tier 3? grrr, the only thing that has been dropping for me lately are large gnawed bones. got 6 of those now, 4 in a row o.O

A dt robe isnt a bad idea either. Guess I will reluctantly head back over to reavers reach and start grinding

Also, to save yourself some anger and torment when you reach back up to the 12-14 level range... Go out to Orchard and farm yourself a new sigil. Sure, Ghosts of Perdition is cake at 20, but at level its a ***** and a half.

(while your at it, grab a Minos. Best helm til you get back to top levels)

For low level try to get a lvl 4, 2 or 0 greater monstrous humanoid bane weapon. Something two handed. Flametouched iron is a close second. maul, falchion, greataxe depending on personal taste.

Keep masters touch going and out on korthos those things rock. Even with 8str. And for harbor a reptilian bane weapon is real nice.

Don't forget an extra silver flame blessing. You can drink? that right at lvl 1. Speeds healing/sp while moving from quest to quest as needed.

Pack in all the stuff you MIGHT want but most likely won't use into your character and bank. So it ends up in free long term storage in the TR bank.

Clickies.. Stock up on some spark or erosion clickies or a stack of the pot versions. Low ml potency item. Low ml wizardry item. Expedious retreat clickies are real nice as well.

I've found myself in the same situation - hoarding items for a TR - but for a melee, and more specifically, for a monk. I have already a lot of things that would help me - but is there anything i've missed?

    - docent of mod. fort
    - docent of deathblock
    - min 2 helm
    - metalline/pure good handwraps
    - full set of rage rings
    - bursting rings
    - DT docent with good mods
    - vorpal kamas
    - souleater (vorpalstick!)
    - claw set
    - siren set
    - resist cloaks (fire/ice/acid/elec)

I'd highly recommend getting a nice major fire lore item. I believe these come in ML: 6 varieties but might have to wait until level 8. Those make a huge difference in the damage output on your firewalls. You can pot or clicky the fire damage but you can't pot or clicky the crit chance.

It's only two large scales to make a +9 Int weapon (neg-neg-neg). I recommend making a heavy pick - you can use it to hit held mobs.

One more thing to consider is a Superior Inferno 4, 5 or 6 clicky (in a weapon). You'll use it from its minimum level up to level 18. (These clickies provide a 75% boost, not the 50% it says in the tooltip that has been bugged since Update 3). Search the AH for these, they are usually dirt-cheap as you only need one.
    I don't have a zerging problem.

    I'm zerging. That's YOUR problem.
