Default A simple question regarding a FvS build

So I have my 18/2 FvS/monk build that uses Scimmies as an Elf. I have a crit range of 15-20 and do crits in the 60-75 range Unbuffed and fully raid buffed I average at around 70-95. So I have figured the same build out on a Human using Khopesh's. My question is, is it worth TR'ing or creating a whole new char using Khopesh's for the added DPS? I've been debating it and I know Khopesh have a higher base and an extra crit multiplier, but also only a 17-20 range instead of 15-20. Also with only having around 28 STR ( And both builds have power attack and ITWF, No GTWF) Will the Khopesh dmg be THAT much higher to be worth its own build? Taking away the Scimitar damage enhancements from being elf, i wouldn't want to only be doing 15-20 more dmg with a khopesh, that wouldnt be worth it. So, anyone know the difference in damage or if khopesh would really be a better dps route to go?

    Input,comments, etc are welcome.

Also, I have a WF and Horc FvS that use Greatswords, so no need to suggest building either one of those temps.

    Thanks.

I think of two important issues. Firstly you are going to loose the enhancement (racial and faith) modifiers to to-hit and damage. Doesn't matter what your crit range is if you aren't connecting. Secondly what feat are you going to drop in order to take khopesh proficiency?

IMO the strength of the Elf Fvs 12 / Monk 2 is that it can have excellent healing and offensive casting, while still retaining decent melee, plus the fringe benefits of evasion, AC, etc. If you want better melee a Pali might be a better choice.

Well I would be switching to Human from Elf and gaining the bonus Human feat. Self buffed with Scimitars ( with only 24 Str, no rage pots or set item bonuses.) I have a 35 Attack Bonus. I would be taking around a -4/-4 hit from not having OTWF and the 2 I lose from Elf enhancements. So a 31 AB thats party/raid buffable to 40+. I've thought about paladins but I like the benefits of the FvS. My main concern is really just IF Khopesh's will do a fair amount more damage, or not. If I'm landing 100+ average on crits, opposed to 60-75. then I feel its worth it, just wanting some input on if I would be landing that high or not.

I'd say its not worth the trouble.

Yes your average damage will be a bit better, but if that is the only reason you want to TR I would just roll up another character so you have one that uses Kopesh and is focused on DPS in all ways possible.

If you have other reasons to TR they sure, why not try out the kopesh life style. The DPS difference will be largest once you get back to high level. The crit multiplier is most significant when overall damage is high.
