Price Check: Lvl 20 Mabar Item Kit

I have everything you need (except for the Epic Dungeon token because they can't be traded or sold) to create a level 20 Mabar item (Epic Cloak of Night, Epic Wraps of Endless Light, Epic Docent of Shadow, Epic Robe of Shadow) and I'd like to get an idea of how many Flawless Red Dragon Scales or Large Devil Scales you guys think the "Kit" is worth. If any of you want to make any offers, I'd be willing to listen.

The Kit includes:

2 Vampire Fangs
1 Lich Dust
5,000 Motes for upgrading the item all the way to 20th
&
30,000 more Motes (you can purchase Spectral Dragon Scales for 10,000 Motes apiece)

And just to make this absolutely CLEAR, the only item you'd have to provide to upgrade the 16th level item to the Epic 20th level version is one Epic Dungeon Token.

For as much work as you put into obtaining the items to create...
I'd say it's worth maybe 3 or 4 of either scale. It takes a lot
of time out of your game play to make it easier for someone else.
Sounds fair enough? Don't you think?

Heh, Yeah I was thinking it would save someone a TON of work. I was just wondering how much that time was worth to someone.

Maybe that time is worth a little more than 4 Red scales?

There's no way I'd trade the kit for only 4 Large devil scales though.

I suppose it depends on the person? I got 2 epic mabar items for about 8 or so hours worth of work, seems like more than 4 flawless red dragon scales would take more than 8 hours of work?

Yeah but you had to deal with the frustration that is the Spectral Dragon fights which has got to be worth quite a bit!

true but i guess i was lucky with those all mine went as smoothly as a babies bottom. I guess it just comes down to the person. Im not the richest guy out there im poor I would rather spend 8+ hours on getting those epic items then forking out flawless reds or large devil scales. But im sure there are quite a few loaded people out there who could not be bothered to do it all.

Imho I think the price nexx listed in flawless red scales is quite tempting if I could get that for what you have put on offer I would start farming motes and stuff right away. Alas I dont have the time right now.

thats pack isnt worth 4 red scales, its not worth 5 large devils either. By now most people have all the stuff they need and will probebly only come to you to top off the last few items.. and entire pack like this would have been worth a mint in the early days of the event, but sadly you have left it too late.

My idea on its value would be 2-3 Large devils (Max)

That is illogical. It is worth far more at the end when someone who wants something, say the wraps, doesn't have the time to do them. Now I sorta agree on the pricing being a bit high, since you can get the Mabar stuff far easier, but still...

this statement is true in the final hours of the event. Taking advantage of the last second mote farming rush. However right now that isnt true, and right now is when he asked for the price check, not next week or whenever. As of current, the prices listed here are way over its current worth.

The wraps are tradeable? The lower level wraps when I got them on one of my chars says bound to character, can't even trade them to my other characters on my account.

I would agree that it's somewhere in between Nexx's and googatron's estimate.

If you do not want to waste time to thoroughly camp the dragon spawn for scales and/or farm motes yourself the rough estimate of the cost would be about 1.4 - 1.5 mpp:

2 Vampire Fangs not sure what current go is, the drop rate seems to be decreased drastically. However many folks have tons of those since Mabar 1 and you can get a couple free if you ask in guild chat nicely

1 Lich Dust seen an offer of 50-70kpp yesterday on "trade"

5,000 Motes bought about 7k motes myself yesterday no higher than 40pp per, so about 5k x 40 = 200 kpp

30,000 more Motes another 1.2 mil pp

Considering you can farm those motes and items in a day and 4 flawless reds would take you a minimum of 12 days due to timer (also assuming that you pulled one every run which won't happen), i'd say 4 flawless reds is far too many.
