Emili had over 280 von 6, 141 titans, 189 reavers,... 180 shrouds ... 100 ToD, I tossed it in a spreadsheet to plan her Tr'd to settle her out on 20th marks. The character totalled over 1600 raids

I find it interesting when I happily open up a Shroud I run to 16-20 with the lfm including 'Melee PST link weapons parts 4&5" that:
- I get very few <18s applying
- those who are <18 I generally have to send tells to asking what is in the lfm and find out that they don't have DR breakers.

This could be the times at which I am playing (2am -7am EST). Or it could be a comment on the player base.

It is also amusing the people who I have gently said 'er no, that won't break DR' go and create their own 'everyone's welcome' Shroud's whereas I have no problems filling usually.

When it's peak play times I feel bad starting a competing Shroud lfm. But if all the others have no indication that I can see that they are going to be reasonably speedy runs (I'm happy with about 25mins) what can I do?

So you get the worst people at 2am-7am? EST? are any of them from down under?

A 1->16 dash is not enough to aquire gear to carry your own weight through the Shroud. Add the very common among new players lack of knowledge and flawed build to the equation to see why lower levels are not welcome.

Seasoned vets on their TRs or frshly rolled toons are not a waste of slot even if only level 12 but they are rarely flagged until 15-17.

So when do you have to be min lvl 18 to complete shroud or even be allowed in a shroud group. Lol things have gotten so sad and the players are that bad that you can no longer do shroud with charactors of the appropriate lvl for the quest range. Does anyone remember when you had to be a decent player and by the time you were lvl 13 you where flagged for shroud and running it?

The new world of must be over powered to run a quest is pathetic and sad!

I would love to do shroud at lvl 12-13. By that time you can use GS and +3-+4met of pg's.

well thats why we have guilds,On ghallanda if some1 from GRR ,Reavensguard,CC,... hits your lfm you know you re getting an awesome player but if he s from Citadel,Blitz... you can never know who you re getting

To the OP, you raise a fair argument. But being a FTP 'noob' buying packs I can see a different side of the story, and my sides may already have been said (i'll say it anyway).

I have 2 points

1. The way I see it, for me at least, its about being comfortable with your Character. If I'm not comfortable running a quest/raid like the Shroud below level, or i'm no comfortable with a heap of lower lvl toons running it with me, I'm not going to put the LFM up.

2. There is too much XP about IMHO.... My main toon is lvl 12, and I've still got no idea what I'm doing, I'm leveling up too fast for what I want. I recently Flagged for VoN but By the time I get to do the raid, I'll be lvl 13-14, because over the last few weeks I haven't seen any running. And by that time I'll be looking at Sands or GH..

I bought the Red Fens pack, but at the rate I was leveling i got one quest of it done before I started on Other chains...

There is just to much to choose from quest wise and by the time some people are looking at doing shroud they're already at lvl 17-18etc.

I agree ,there is just too many quest out there (which is great & the whole game is now a bit more adjusted for TRs it seems to me ,but most of them dont run those quests ether cuz most of the time they farm XP ...

I couldn't disagree more. One can get a silver or metaline good weapon at level six level four rr. Then you can get a Minos helm at level 11 and plus six stat items are dirt cheap if you by them as ml 15 opposed to ml 13. Guess what ? That's all one needs to walk into the shroud fully equiped. Ask anyone on here that's all one needs to bring. If they were to stupid to listen to being told not to use con as a dump stat well you can't bring smarts to the shroud if you don't already have them.

One can get a scroll, shard and seal of RoSS within 24 hours but I wouldn't count on that.
Pulling harry beater is more likely but far from guaranteed. And even if you pull ML8 metalline dagger of pg how would you know it's something useful?

Minos helm is not given at level 11. You have to be aware of its existance, you have to buy/farm 20 tapestries and you have to be vip, own Necro IV or somehow get a pass. None of the above is given just by the merit of reaching 16.

Dumped Con is not the only possible mistake. Multiclassing without taking prestige enhancements into account or generally fail builds like 12Clr/8Wis (obviously to get both FW and BB). S&B barbarians with neither AC nor intimidate. Fighters who had to take **** with their bonus feats because they took weapon specialisation and improved critical in the regular feat slot...

House D vendor will have metaline pure good weapons in there on a regular basis. I bought 2 +5 metaline pg kamas in 3 days 2 weeks ago.

If they don't want to farm taps then there are plenty of other heavy fort items available for cheap by level 13 level 11 is available they just cost a little more.

The rest of the the things you listed are exactly what I addressed in an above post. These are people being noobs and not caring about contributing to a group. They just look for us to carry them thru. Don't try to tell me it's not possible for an unguilded new person to read up on how to play the game and learn what does & doesn't work in the game. Along with what gear/weapons to bring to the quest. All this info is readily available for a new person guilded or not.

FYI we ran a straight lowbie pug Shroud run and Hound last night and had no problem completing them. Several people were new to the game and the quest. They all had the right gear and listened. So it's possible if you hold people accoutable.

So the idea of meeting new players isnt worth it on Ghallanda unless your from a specific guild thats boring. All though not sure why ghallnada is brought into the conversation at all do people actaully play over there? lol Look every servor has its guilds but it used to be fun to meet people the point of this post is lost though there are only a few actaully paying attention to the posts disavowed is one of them why would you grief someone for denying you into there shroud when your out of the level range they are requesting. Why send tells to you and your group telling everyone they can your gaonna fail. It was pety but it has happened more then once to me, now and its just amusing. Are you f ing kidding me? Nobody knows this more than me. I'd say the good more than weighs out the bad. But there's never been a bad. So the good just out weighs the last good. How could one not see the advantage. Somebody has to deal with it. It might as well be me. It's a tough job. You can understand that can't you.

My buddies have another nick name for her besides The Beergirl. They call her La Carnada. It translates to the bait. The guys can go walk off and play ball on the waters edge of the river or gonto get and cocktail at a public pool/club. The next thing we know there's a crew of single women hanging out with her.

This happened once in Cabo poolside at the Malia hotel. We made a run to the liquor store. We get back and there's the Beergirl with 8 single females drinking. My buddy says we need to change her name to "The Bait" but we didn't want to tip off the other girls so we ask the bartender how to say it in Spanish as I'm only half Mexican so my Spanish sucks. He says it's La Carnada. So we went with it. I've never checked to see if that's how it translates since it stuck so well.

Anyway not wanting to hijack the thread but it's too funny of a story to pass up.
