    Default Minimalist TR GS choices

I wanted to get some advice here. I like leveling better than running endgame and therefore I am going to TR and start a completionist run. I have gathered a lot of the lvl 1-10 twink gear, and am turning to the higher end stuff. I wanted to get some advice on best general GS to craft for a character doing multiple TRs so I can finish this life up and TR. If you had to limit yourself to 2 GS items and 2-3 weapons for all classes-what would they be knowing that the character will likely TR again at 20? (For instance I know a Lit II falchion is huge for normal barb leveling-but a greatsword would cover the WF FVS as well and I likely can’t have both). I am thinking HP item, Lit II weapons (leveling), etc.-but what would you do?

Any suggestions about other specific gear above lvl 10 is welcome as well (Torc for all mana classes, bloodstone for all melee, etc.) Thanks in advance!

Additional info: I actually don’t care if I ever make it to completionist-I just want to enjoy the game and I simply enjoy leveling and questing. TRing from ranger into Wiz (a good complement to my duoing partner) for next life and will likely try for 20 completions on most raids in the next life because my raid gear is limited-should be able to duo the lower raids. And I will be able to add more GS as I progress but it isn’t the priority. And who knows, halfway through I may very change my mind and go back to endgame!

    Earth grab 45 HP cloak
Conc Op boots (casters wont use madstone)

    Lit II greatsword
    Mineral II greatsword

Not much point to a bloodstone while levelling, it's often the case that you forget to swap it out for optionals/completion and lose exp. It's much easier to have VoM equipped all of the time.

Make sure you have a gear set for each class that fits in +6 stat items and GFL e.c.t. Having to balance and buy new bits of gear is a pain.

One good piece to get is a Pos + Pos bludgeoning weapon. They are fairly easy to craft being only a tier 2 weapon, are great for bashing skells, and it nets you a real handy rez clickie.

Another item is a trip earth/hp item. You get the bonus 45 hp + earthgrab guard. There are other options for a hp item, but I have the earthguard and love it. It allows you either auto-crit attacks or gives you a brief respite to heal up when the enemy is held. Either way its a win-win imo.

Both are single shard, so it limits the amount of grinding you need to do in order to make them. There are some great dual shard recipies out there as well, like a MinII accessory or weapon. If you craft a weapon it gives you a powerful boss beater at level 11.

Best of luck on the completionist run

Thanks and +1. I originally planned on a Smoke +45 hp cloak, but the mabar cloak had me second guessing this. And I had not thought of the conc opp in boot slot, only googles. The greatsword does look to cover the most classes, and the dps loss on a class that you would normally 2WF shouldn't be that great.

I am liking the belt slot as a standard plus con/FL item, increasing its potency as I level-this should be good across classes. I am dedicating 1 ring slot as the +x primary stat slot, with the other ring flexible.

Hmm-thanks for the ideas-back to the spreadsheet

They might want to run Tower of Despair though.
CO should be Googles for most casters as they wont be using Tharnes/sandstorm in most cases.

If you want to use boots, I prefer to put HP on boots. sacrificing 45 Hit points for Boots of Anchoring is generally a better trade off than giving up 300+ Spell Points + Procs.

    Cheap GS:
    • Triple Earth HP Item: +45 hp, Earthgrab Guard, Summon Ellie
    • Triple Air SP Item: +300sp, Cha skills +6, haste clickies.

    Expensive GS:
    • MinII Greatsword: Good on everything
    • LitII Falchion: Best on trash
    • Conc Opp HP (I'd say goggles) - best on blue bars... still nice on melees (hp proc)
    • MinII Helm: I'd say this is the "fits every build" item. +45 hp, stoneskin clicky, heavy fort, prot 5...

Cloak, to me, feels constrained these days. Dunno, lots of good stuff there for plenty of classes. DPS folks still probably could use the cloak.

CO Boots are definitely a nice option. Swap in FF if/when you need them.

I'd second the Greatsword option as it is widely applicable, also a pos-pos staff (or maul).

My personal stance on a minimum is
    - one HP item
    - one SP / CHA skills item
    - one of the two above should be CO if you plan on being a caster type
    - one raise dead clicky (weapon or on the SP item if the SP item is trip-pos and the HP item is CO)

Note the 2 wearable slots means 20 shroud runs for a cleansing stone.

Boots are handy for the SP and/or CO slot as mentioned - most casters won't use Madstone and it's a decent swap spot. Goggles are good for "purer" classes that won't want Tharnes.
Ghallanda - now with fewer alts and more ghostbane

Wow-thanks for all the feedback and great suggestions! So far:

    1) Pos-pos staff or maul - since its only small and mediums I should be able to do this without affecting anything else I make and gets me the rez clickie. I still need to decide between maul and staff-mostly effects cleric/FVS lives as other classes can get martial weapons;

    2) Lit II Greatsword/Falchion and Min II Greatsword. Suggestions on which first? I am not expecting to run much VoD/ToD above normal or epic dungeons so I’m betting Lit II first. And looks like the FVS life is the only one hurt on the Falchion versus Greatsword choice.

    3) One of these two decision trees:

A-CO/+45 hp goggles (cleansed) with a triple air item (boots)-probably can’t get both items finished but can do the CO item and Tier 1 or 2 on the +SP, swap em in for shrining for buffs and finish them next life, or

B- Min II helm (cleansed) and CO +SP item (goggles or boots)-helm good for all classes and can use the CO item for those classes that need it. Probably can't finish both this life but might be a good goal to finish for next life.
