My sugestions for bard past life

Past life purchasable bard feat is extremly weak compared to all the others,

Beef it up have it add +1 to hit and dmg to bard songs that stack with enhacenments.

As of now there is no point in TRing a bard. This small change would make it somewhat disarable to TR your bard.

Bard PL is of great use ... if you're headed to Wizard.

Bards themselves are awesome ... if they were once fighters, monks, rogues, etc.



I too wish the Bard PL was more useful to a bard.

As it is , the past life feat is weak to non bards and wizards who want to etch out every last point of enchantment DC. But the passive life feat is nice for low will save builds +2 vs enchantment and illusions spells is nice .

People who like to change feats out as they level on a bard might find that feat is nice for 3 more inspire courage.

Passive life should give +1 dc to enhantment and +1 chr based skill stackable x3 (this keep it inline and balanced to what a Clr,Sorc,Fvs and Wizard get for there passive past life)
purchasable should be the 3 songs that give +1 hit and dmg that stack with enhacements,
giveing a stronger song from a TRed bard that took the feat.

This would make TR-ing a bard you like into a bard worth the time.

every other class TR boneses for TRing back into the same class are alot more favorable then what is offerd to bards,

clearly someone here hasn't TR'd from sorcerer to sorcerer...

"oh goody, 20 spell points! that'll make a huge difference compared to my pool of 3000! and +1 to the DC of the school where the best spells don't have any DC at all! oh joy! and what's this? 10 uses per day of a damage-dealing spell that is *almost* as good as frost lance except it has a reflex save and can be avoided, for the low, low cost of 1 feat that i can't spare in the first place! oh goody, well this will really help with the lack of stamina that my TR'd sorcerer with twink gear won't have in the first place! and it comes with a free mental toughness, which i also would never have spent a feat on, because i'm so **** feat-starved that i don't have room for the stuff i need, let alone some pathetic excuse for a feat that adds nothing important whatsoever.

or, for that matter... i'm not entirely clear on what a cleric is supposed to do with +1 conjuration DC. great for wizard, great for sorcerer, utter trash for a cleric. improves all of 1 spell for a cleric (well, unless you think casting heal spells on undead is a major focus for the cleric). i guess it improves turning undead as well, but again... not exactly the main focus of most clerics i've seen.
