    Default Dwarf Lich Knight 4 FTR/16 Wiz

    I recently Lesser Res my wf wizzy into a palemaster and I noticed that I was getting some reasonable healing while standing in another arcane`s death aura.

    This got me to thinking and after a few aborted builds on the character planner I ended up with this weird build. It is intended to run in a static group that I am involved with and there will be 2 of the same build leaching heals from each others death auras.

    Its a melee caster style build

    It looks like it will be fun to play but I am not sure how practical it would be at higher levels.

    End stats would be something like

    30 str, 14 Dex, 34 con, 28 Int , 18 Wis, 14 Charisma In Lich form
    498 Hit points ( minos ,draconic, GFL item) about 1400 spell points ( 300 more with shroud item)

    subtract 40 hit points and 4 con ,2 int /wis /charisma in Wraith form

    I would appreciate some feedback any ideas you may have

    I think you really want to look at an 18 2 split. The additional boost from PM3 to your auras plus the blast is probably worth it.

    Another option is a 12 wizzy/6 monk/2 fight split for a palemaster/ninja spy combo.

    K after a second look, I'm going to stick with my 18/2 split recommendation. I'm not sure you'll have a great Stunning Blow DC anyway. Random thoughts in random order.

    (1) You don't need SF Necro and GSF Necro until 6 and 12 respectively; take them then.
    (2) I can't tell if you want to land DC-based spells or not ... spell pen and heighten but levels into STR is kinda confusing. Personally, STR is easiest to boost with items; I'd probably keep INT high as it gives you the flexibility to use spells and melee consistently enough.

    My take would be the following (again, my take)
    INT 18 (16 points) - levels here
    CON 18 (10 points)
    STR 14 (6 points)

    Feats
    Fighter (2): Power Attack, Improved Crit
    Wizzy: Extend, Maximize, Quicken, Heighten
    Normal (7): SF Necro, GSF Necro, Toughness, Mental Toughness, Spell Pen, Greater Spell Pen, ONE OPEN

    Open feat is PL if you have it, if not maybe SF Enchant, Empower, Enlarge or Quickdraw - the latter for hitting something with Rahl's Might (destruction) then switching to a real weapon.


    I'd take the first fighter level at 8 (after you get wall of fire) and just use Master's Touch or swing w/ the -4 penalty until then. Second fighter level is at 13 or 14 or wherever it is you can get improved crit.


    You're going to want the Mabar Robes; get them if you can. The epic version is +2 to your necro DCs, Superior False Life and has Boon to Undeath - casts an inflict light wounds on you when you're hit. Wait, that heals you ... BONUS. If you miss the timing on the event, Abbot has a set that drops there as well. Lich form proc's temp HP, boon to undeath, a Torc and a CO Greensteel and you're set to hammer away quite well. Stand in each of your auras and you're sitting pretty. Keep the burst on your hotbar for quick healing.

    I think you're going to love this once you get cooking at higher levels.
