    Default Help with TR!

Hello there all! I have a few questions about True Reincarnation.

What exactly stay's with you when you TR? like how much of your stats stay with you, i know your items will stay with you. Do your enhancements stay with you?

Also right now I have a Lvl 13 half-orc monk (pure str build) and lately bringing up the wis that I will want to TR once I hit lvl 20 and had some fun with him. I am not sure if I should TR him into a Sorcerer or Favored Soul. I was thinking Sor then Fvs, but that would take forever. Either way I will TR the second build.

Would like some suggestions and help with what happens after you TR.

    Thanks

    Hello,

True Reincarnation means you'll start as a level 1 Character. Basically you go back as anew character with either 34 or 36 point build depending if you already TR-ed or not. The Drow Race is an exception though, you'll get 30 or 32 point build.

Every tomes you have used will disappear and your enhancements will be reset since you'll be level 1 again. All you items, bank included will be in a special reincarnation cache at the Bank. Note that you can only take thins out of that Cache.

    Cheers,

    -Eizer

aaah okay, so the only real benefit is the extra build points and the past life feats?
and as for what class to reincarnate, its basically whichever i feel would be better?

TRs start as level one only.

TR can be done for two reasons, to improve an existing character, or to make a completely different character. Which are you trying to do?

If you are trying to improve an existing character, look very intently at just what you will gain from your TR. Some past life feats are very useful, others are garbage. Some builds will benefit greatly from +2 build points, others will see only slightly boost what is otherwise a dump stat. After you TR you will be back at level 1 and will have to gain over 3 million experience to get back to level 20 (as opposed to the 1.9 million you had to gain the first time). You will lose any tomes you have read in your previous life. Look long and hard if what you will gain from TR is worth what it will take to get it.

Okay i see where ya'll getting at now. I was thinking of Tr'n to a FvS, not sure what race yet tho. and if the +2 stats is all you really get for it. maybe i should just start a brand new 32 build FvS once i get the 2500 favor.

I dunno yet, only lvl 13, so i have some time to think about it

and as for what i want to do, most likely start a whole new character as a TR, i'm trying to way the pros and cons.

Thank you all for your help too btw ^_^

but the second Tr is 36 build...that's kind of something to look forward to....even tho it may take a while haha

    Agree completely with this!

I have a 28 point pure barb dwarf who now has alot of top end gear (no epics, but mostly raid stuff including 2 GS armour pieces, a Min2GA and a double holy maul) who I plan on TR-ing into a HOrc pure barb. He will still have all the gear I have ground out but will now have an extra SIX stat points and an OP-race for his class (not that dwarf's are gimp, they just not as strong as HOrcs for barbs imo).

I thought about it long and hard and have decided to go for it. I am waiting for a friend to finish his 20th Revers and Shrouds and then we will TR together.

Best advice is, if you do want to TR then have a look at your raid completions, if you are near 20 on any of them then wait until after your 20th! You can pick your choice of about half the named loot from that raid or a tome (normally a +3), just remember not to use the tome before TR-ing!

I would strongly suggest playing multiple characters to level 20 before TRing. If you want a favoured soul, make a favoured soul. Find out if you like playing one before you throw away your current character and have to gain all that experience, plus about 65% more, all over again

Having multiple characters at 20 will also allow you to run lots of epic quests to gain the tokens you will need to purchase the item needed for TR, and farm the Shroud for ingredients for crafting greensteel. Having access to powerful raid gear and crafted items at lower levels can make a TR experience much more enjoyable.

What is your current character? Usually people plan out their TRs so that they will get the most benefit out of the past life feat. For example, TRing from a wizard into a fighter you will increase your spell penetration, but you won't have any spells you can cast. Look at what you will gain, and figure out what the best life progression will be.

That is probably the best advice I have gotten in regards to TR'n! haha thanks a lot mate, I should try that out. makes much more sense. Right now i have a lvl 13 HOrc monk. I tried it out when update 7 came out.....seen a lottta other same builds but not so much anymore. A HOrc monk is kind of odd but i like it...pure Str build and putting the Wis up there a bit too.
