I've only seen this on the something awful forums, but I like the idea and think it would be helpful on the ddo forums, too. Under the poster's name there is an option to show every user's post in a given thread, and you can toggle it on and off by clicking a question mark. Here's a picture to explain it.

He's talking about only showing posts by that user in the exact thread you're reading.

So, for instance, if one were to do that to me, he would only find this post (and any subsequent posts I make in this thread alone, and none other).
    Person Æ, Sarlona
Tanka (Elf Tempest Trapper) .:. Darani (Aasimar Inquisileric) .:. Raelyth (Elf Artifonk)

You can do this with the search function:

Search this thread -> Advanced search -> Search by user name
If i haven't responded to your post, it doesn't necessarily mean that i don't have counter-arguments, it might simply mean that i don't want to keep feeding the trolls.

Yeah, I'm just not understanding whats difficult about doing that now.

That said, of course I'm all for tools and such. Maybe it's 'cause I've never had an issue with it... but it shouldn't be too difficult to implement.

True, but what he's asking for requires significantly fewer clicks.

With that method, you have to load new pages to continue searching.

    I don't. But then I use:

Makes life so much easier. Definitely understand and agree that, for some people, this would be a useful tool, though.

The functionality is there. It is just a matter of adding it so it is as easy as the OP described and whether it is worth doing so.

Note: The way I did it was by clicking the number of posts in the thread to bring up how many times each person posted and then click on the 2 next to Tanka.
