No, they do not heal less.

Yes, it's viable to do a WF Pale Master.

People will argue that WF derive less benefit from Pale Master than a fleshie because they already had self-heal, which is true, but don't confuse that with a WF pale master being less effective than a fleshie. They GAIN less, but both arrive at the same level of effectiveness.
