    Wink pugs

i can honestly say that i have lost faith in almost all pugs. from this point if I or someone in my party doesnt' know you chances are you aren't getting in. for about the first 6-8 months i played i pugged everything. but now the quality of pugs has just gone SO far down hill. i mean i feel like im playing with a bunch of people who have an iq of about 13.

and has anyone actually sat in the harbor for about 5 minutes and read general chat. you want a laugh go do that.

after rolling and leveling some alts, ive found myself thinking this aswell. but then i think maybe i was just somewhat of a noob myself, so their noobishness went unnoticed while leveling up my first toon =p

that being said, a lot of f2p quests are nightmares. i dread rolling up a new toon just because i have mostly middle and end game adventure packs and with f2p quests there is usually atleast 1 doofus in the group. once i get into p2p content, the terrible groups tend to be the exception to the norm though.

Hmm.. I should pug TS more often then.. well the last times I've pugged it wasn't too bad. I would say about 15% of the pugs I'm entering in are bad (though some are rescapable), usually it is me or the annoyance that /quit the group. That rule applies on all the server i'm playing..

Drop rate for a Torc needs to be higher so everything can be solo'd.

Who needs a Torc to solo?

I'm sorry you have such a low player skill level that you can't solo on a caster, but easy buttoning an easy raid seems a little low. Even for you.

Well, I think I have a few ideas on why TS is often the site of pug nightmares. Some have been covered here, but these are my ideas for the reasons.

1 It's low lvl and F2P, so to many if not most new players it's the first experience in a quest that large, or requiring that much teamwork.

2 You often have a mix of newbies and vets, zergers and casual players, nobody seems to run it at the same speed, you have a few zerging ahead, some rushing to try to keep up, and straglers spread out everywhere.

3 Many people reach this lvl before realising there build/gear/tactics just don't work. It can be a good testbed for new toons, but it can be painful.

4 The map! This I think is the #1 issue with most people, they simply get lost! The map is useless in places, confusing in others. Lots of quests have this issue, but this is likely the first place many new players will encounter it. It is hard when you spend 10 lvls using the map for guidance, then in your first raid you hit this!

Got to say, i Dont really understand a lot of the super negative/cautious attitude towards PuGs most forum goers seem to have :/, i PuGed my way to cap, and while there were a few bad ones here and there, on almost all of them we succeeded with relative ease at level/slightly below level.

I just started 1.5 years ago, maybe its all the FtPers flooding in?

Tempest spine can be pretty bad though when people get lost, but we always seemed to overcome it somehow, then again, never had >2 ppl get lost...

Wow, nice. This thread got necro'd nicely, I'd say.
