    Default I'm a n00b, need some help.

I wanna make a wizard but I have no clue how to do the abilities, feats, and skills. I've played a cleric up to 13 but being a heal bot gets kind of boring. I'm not really looking to go super dps wizard but more of a utility role with buffs and control. Having some solo capability would also be nice but I don't plan on leveling the toon pure solo. I have access to War-forged, Half-Orc and Drow but not sure if human is just the better choice. I'm still stuck with the 28pt build also, so I can't do any 32pt builds right now . Any help would be greatly appreciated,

    Cheers

wf wiz is imo is the way to go...max int, max con, max skill points in intimi, umd, concentration, balance...if u multi in 2 rogue skill points in also trap skills...firewall, sheild blocking, intimi, self heal, HIGH hp, and heavy fort = easy button for rest of party. as far as feats go: empower, extend, maximize, quicken, heighten in that order at lev 1,5,10,15,20 ( wiz granted feats)...other feats: toughness, insightful reflexes, spell pen, spell focus (school of ur choice), greater spell pen, greater spell focusor mental toughness...at end game u can hit 44 intimi buffed and over 500hp unbuffed, with lorriks sheild and a epic item with -15% sf = no spell fail while intimi and sheild blocking...as far as prestige enh go palemaster for a wf imo aint that great and imo i wasnt very impressed with archmagi its too feat and ap heavy...but if ur into those by all means give them a whirl...and remember hit points and heavy fort are ur best friend gl bro

agree very much. except that i somehow think PM should be the default choice for new player. The PM spell like ability (SLA) make it much easier for new players to manage their mana.

Remember if taking a splash of Rogue best at 1st level for boost of skill points, then 2nd level around lvl 7.

Fantastic ideas! I'm confused about the intimidate though, what would I use that for as a wizard? I thought the idea was to not get hit lol.

if ur the one to intmi the mobs into ur firewall and self heal its way better for the cleric and all ur melees free up to dps those mobs...for instance i usally do orthons in vod on my caster and self heal leaving clerics available to worry bout rest of party instaed of trying to heal the intimi tank and it creates 1 xtra dps u now have to beat the orthons down with...its works exceptionally well in all wf grps: firewall, sheild block, intimi, mass repair = win!...also forgot to mention con opp item from shroud and torc from dq = sp regen when u get hit = win again!
