2 question on my fighter/ ranger build?

I just recently completed 6 lv of fighter took the kensai 1 pre. I was also a 6 lv ranger tempest 1 . Up in the right corner of my screen shows a temp 1 icon. Where is my kensai 1 icon? I must have register it all my boost where added by 1, from 5 to 6 uses, I just want to feel all warm and fuzzy and see my kensai icon on screen any thoughts on this. On a side note I do crit quite bait more.
2- I am really considering 6 more lvs of fighter for the kensai 2 pre but I am torn at the moment to be more self sufficient . Are the temp 2 pre, 1 more FE, mod. healing, a few bonus spells worth more/equal to kensai 2 pre and 3 class/2 feats? Still leaning towards kensai, any thoughts here.

Kensai II is pretty nice. Get Power Surge with Kensai II which gives a +8 temporary boost to strength.
