Also a suggestion for Sorcerer in general would be no need for the Eschew Materials metamagic or components.

It says you can get a pair of wings to fly at your run speed. Warp Time flight woot! That'd be SO COOL!

Imagine if you got thrown off of an Epic Tempest's Spine (if they made one) you could be like "nu uh!" and fly back around and throw like Polar Ray at him and omg flying would just be SO COOL!

Just patch all the quests where flying could be abused. This should be the dev's new #1 goal. Flight.

It would be great to have fly, but it'll never happen. Fly would essentially demand more work on level design and the designers would have no desire for that. It would be nice to have some levels with flying used, that would be doable. Example ideas would be where your flying over an army of enemies shooting at you or another idea would be that you have to infiltrate a fortress, but the front door is locked and you can only get in from the highest tower.

It's more likely that the wings will be replaced with a leap of faith like ability considering FVS get wings at lv 17 in Pnp.

I think it's pretty obvious the devs don't intend to implement fly into the game mechanics when they decided to remove it from the 3rd lv arcane spell list of sorc/wizards.

Also note that in PnP there are no PREs they have PRCs.

Well i cannot say i wouldn't like to see flying in game, because flying would be cool (like in old Might and Magic games), but the main problem is implementation to already existing adventures.
Devs would have to build in some adventures some "invisible walls" or "what the H__L dispeled my flying things" or "why this guy have ranged attack all of the sudden" it is much too much work for devs so it probably wont happen...
Aslo when makeing flying spell then probably as high level spell...

I used to play CoX and Champions Online and flying around the city in those games was a ton of fun as the zones were built with a significantly high ceiling to allow that sort of movement. As is, I think it would require too many changes to existing content to be feasible. It might be cool if they added a special zone where you could fly, like the plane of air or something (even though it isn't technicially flying). But then again if they did that it would probably turn out to be as exciting as the "underwater combat" in the red fens.

well, its in the engine to allow 3d motion, take a swim and you can see that. They already have a test 'in water' for it so all they need to do is add one 'flying' and add new animations.

But they are too fond of platform segments to ever do it. shame as that's just the very reason I'd like to see it if I am honest.

Might make a fun part of a Sharn, city of Towers themed addition though.
