obviously i'll take a decked out 20 barb over a decked out 20 rogue for the simple fact that a barb with 700+ hitpoints will survive an exploding bat more often than a rogue with 350. Not saying I won't take rogues, just that some classes will have an easier time getting in than others.

A "decked out" rogue would not have 350 HP. Too low. I had my Bard at level 20 for like, a week, and he had more HP than that. I'm sure a Rogue can manage to find a way to beat my silly Spellsinger.

And said rogue wouldn't get creamed by a DBF, or Chain Lightning. Nor would the Monk, or the Ranger.

If you didn't want a sign up list, why even pop this up on the forums? If their toons are on timer now, they'll (very likely) still be on timer 4-6 hours from now. If you really wanted to afford people a proper "heads up", shoulda done it 60~70 hours ago.

Still don't know which toon's 20th this is for you. Maybe you don't know who the other 11 people in your party are going to be, but you could at least let them know what you're bringing to the festivities. Seems like a fairly simple courtesy.

And thanks for the tips, but I've run this quest 100's of times on 5 different toons, I don't need strategy on how to beat elite.

Given identical equipment, they'd be 40 points higher. Rogues are d6, arcanes are d4.

AND phidius plays gimp meleearcanes with levels of other classes that has higher hit dices :P

I heard some guy in the Harbor on Sarlona yelling about how he had to have an uber AC initmitank for Stealthy Repossession.

I think the OP wants a meaty barb, to give the healers time to heal if things turn pear shaped. A rogue can survive tanking Suulo on elite.... but for how long in one position?

Plus, rogues lose much more dps on Elite compared to normal due to the increased fortification. So a barb would be more useful in consistent and longer dps.

Plus if he is pugging, the rogues that apply probably will not be your 400+ Hp toons you want to see.

I beleive backstab damage remains constant no matter what the fort of the bad guy.
I know my rogue will out DPS my barb on EPIC's.

As far as tanking Sully, what difference does it make? 400hp toons can tank just fine.
