VoD raid tonight - elite

hey all,

Looking for a good dps raid group to run VoD tonight at 8pm EST.

It's my 20th run, and I will not settle for anything less than elite.
most good melee on server usually are on timer when I need them.

looking for heavy hitters, mostly barbs or fighters, but of course rogues,rangers and monks or pally's also welcome. please have dr breaker, and know the quest.

Gemstone will be off timer (10 Wiz/9 Monk), but I can bring a Clanger (11 Cleric/6 Ranger/3 Monk) or Precious. Like most LFMs that ask for DPS, though, I'm betting they're not what you're looking for.

A word of caution, though... most VoDs don't wipe because of a lack of DPS.

I'm confused... are you bringing the toon in your sig to the party? What role will you be filling, exactly?

The part in green also confuses me greatly. It almost sounds like you're suggesting any class other than barbs or fighters will be second-tier DPS to a mob that is : Crittable, a Lawful Evil Outsider, and will be aggroed on someone else.

Will you have a hjealer? Who casts your hjaste, maybe a bard? Its easier to actually have a sign-up list in the first post, something like :

Orthon Tjank :
DjPS 1 - 7 :

Instead, you'll end up with 6 hjealers, or 18 DjPS wanting to come along.

me and my wife runs a lot of vod elite pugs on sarlona but our timeslot is different than yours (GMT +8)

from my 9 to 11 vod elite, we only failed 3x (1 = the caster don't have cloudkill; 2nd = the caster dced; 3rd = the caster failed to understand "spam cloudkill to kill the bats") so it really is important that your caster knows what you're doing.

Our setup is:

1 intim fleshie tank = me
2 healers = my wife + 1 more
1 caster
9 dps with decent weapon (lit2, min2, epic weapons or similar)
bard is optional but always a big help

our runs usually only last 19 to 26 minutes and a few of them are flawless victories and usually, no sp pots are consumed.

vod elite for me is far easier than hox hard ^__^

I don't usually screenie the results but it seems i got 2 of them. hope you get some of these toons when you do your run

2. second batch of orthons (i usually just ask them to lure the orthons to me so I can hold them with sully)
3. too much DPS before the orthons. you need to make sure that the last set of devils are out before the orthons or else you will get both at the same time)

people.. this isn't complicated..

not going to break down my entire strategy, nor reserve slots.

And thanks for the tips, but I've run this quest 100's of times on 5 different toons, I don't need strategy on how to beat elite.


what i'm looking for is people to click on the lfm.. and i'll decide what player/class would best suit the current party. obviously i'll take a decked out 20 barb over a decked out 20 rogue for the simple fact that a barb with 700+ hitpoints will survive an exploding bat more often than a rogue with 350. Not saying I won't take rogues, just that some classes will have an easier time getting in than others.
