Question about TR

Hi

When you TR a character you lose bank space, favor, back packs, levels, etc.

Are the bonus's of TR'ing that good that it's worth giving up all that stuff, rather that just rolling a new character?
Are the past life feat and a couple of ability points that good?

Am really curious.

The favor bonuses are really negligible as most of the time you get most of that back when leveling at a higher xp curve. What hurts is losing tomes.

Really this is something only you can decide. The extra 4 build points and the past life feats are nice, but not game breaking by any means on 99% of the builds out there.

You lose your tomes? i was under the distinct impression that you did not, that those bonuses scaled back into your character asyou level (+1 at l3, +2 at L7, etc)

am I way off with that?

there are 2 types of reincarnation, lesser/greater and true, with the first you stay the same race and alignment and depending on which heart you use you can change up to 3 lvls class wise.

True res is basically a do over so race and alignment can be redone but all favor, tomes are lost and you must re level. in return you get past life feat and extra build points

Lesser/Greater you re level on a ship in about 15 minutes, but it allows you to rechoose your stat, feat, skills distribution. You also get to keep tomes as they re apply while you lvl on the boat.
