Arrow bonuses do they stack with weapon?

I couldn't find this information anywhere...but basically how do Arrow bonuses such as the +1 or +5 work?

Do they add to the weapon bonuses or does the game just take the max of weapon or ammunition as the to hit and damage bonus?

Example: I have a +3 bow/xbow firing +2 arrows/bolts...what is my bonus to hit and damage from the weapon and ammo?

The + to hit and damage do not stack, it takes whichever is better. But if you have a holy bow and flaming arrows, you will get the effects of both.

The highest + is all you get. If you have a +1 bow and +3 arrows, you get the +3. But, effects stack. if you have a flaming bow and acid arrows, you'll get flaming damage and acid damage.
