Default When Kobolds Attack - Bug or Feature?

I found a Kobold by the quest givers inside the palace off the coin lards plaza. Two guards were beating him down while he just stood there. I eventually joined in and killed him; he had quite a few hit points for a kobold.

I hope this is not a bug, I thought it was cool evidence of the invasion.

I had already completed the Undermine quest and logged out then logged in later if that has any bearing on a possible bug.

    I second that.
He should be tried and executed, by the law, but not before "extracting" some "information" from him, without anesthesia, slowly.

That Kobold was innocent, It probably had a family, Think of the children ...
    You murderer...

*And yes, By "extracting" I mean removal and by "information" I mean gonads... and by slowly I mean he has to be slowly tortured until he admits all the crimes he has done... if he has done this with a kobold? who knows what he might have done with other people? Maybe he has murdered before...who knows?

I say we kill him with fire...and then resurrect him only to kill him again from hypothermia ... and then resurrect him only to kill him again with ball lighting... and then we resurrect him only to break all the bones of his wasted body then bury him alive in a casket...
then he will think "well, castration was a good deal after all , at least my balls are intact."

I am certainly devious when it comes to justice, not that I resort to "justice" very often..

[edit1 ]If someone got this the wrong way, this is a joke (or is it?).

    [edit2]I am (always) only half-serious...

[edit3][serious ]And know that I do not mean to offend anyone by posting this, if I did offend or shock anyone with this lovecraftian-esque humor , I am sorry, I was blind . [/serious]

Kobolds are sentient reptilians descended from dragons , fact. If they were not, they wouldn't even be playable on PnP, nor would they be able to speak (although, they speak with a chibi accent), nor would they write books, nor would they have gods, nor would they have an alignment (which is usual lawful evil in the [barfs] Forgotten Realms [/barfs])...
The chibi bard from neverwinter nights is also, self - admittedly , A kobold.

... what a shame, I recently helped a Kobold to free his sewer from some dogs ... now I hear you killed him ... or was it the Kobold that in fact is a Dragon and usualy live on an Island in Attraxia? You are evil ...

Heh, I'm guessing its a bug.

When DDO fails to load some game object it tends to substitute a docile kobold with a lot of hit points as a substitute object. Early tests of Mabar had some kobolds in it of a similar sort.

In a similar fashion, A Kobold Gold Dragon Disciple (Lawful Good) will turn you into ash with her breath.

Kobolds are CUTE. How dare you to speak of them like this?
I doubt that there will be any dragon defending the Kobolds though... even though they are Dragon-based, they , just like the Dragonborn, were created by Dragons to be used as slaves... In my opinion, all they want now is freedom.
How I wished Kobolds were playable in this game, but we all know that this isn't going to happen...

"PVP all the time!" "Scrapps bites your face off"

I too would love to play a kobold, more than any other race.

It might be enough to inspire me to join a light roleplaying guild "must smash box"

I saw the NPC's guards beating the kobold and did the only thing that I could do ...

I helped them to kill the Kobold

Granted some times it could be the quest. Remember... the lich spire quest when it first got released? You'd leave the quest, and skeletons would spawn in Delera's to still chase you.

I wish DDO had goblins as the fodder race, and that Kobolds were treated seriously.
In my ideal version of DDO, getting shot by a kobolds' crossbow would apply a debuff that made you take more damage from traps. They would also use immobilizers and DoT more, along with balconies.

About the only thing DDO did right with kobolds is giving them teh cute.

I had a change of heart. I saw that poor kobold again, apologized, an sang sweet words of oblivion to him as he was slowly and painfully put to death by 2 guards who seem to have an intense hatred towards kobolds. There was nothing I could do to help otherwise for threat of being excommunicated by the coin lords. It must be a curse put upon him by the Droamm for failing to blow up the tunnels, to re-live the same fate over and over again. Poor soul, may Khyber one day hold you in his clutches below. Tonight I shall drink "2" tankards of ale for my fallen reptilian brother. Yark!
