Default DEX Skill pots -- what are they for?

Tarbox, one of collectors in House Deneith, gives out potions that either boost your DEX or your DEX skills for 1 or 2 minutes. Where exactly would you use them? Or more specifically, where would I use them -- Ranger 14 with 29 DEX? The only place I could think of was Claw of Vulkoor, and it seems like adding 3 to my Hide which is already close to 50 (camouflage, cloak of Shadows, Heroism, Ranger skill boost, etc) is kind of pointless. Jumping for coins when Risia Games next come around? Again, that +3 for a minute or two won't really make a difference.

So what is it for, exactly?

Dex doesn't help you with jumping.

You can scan the skills on the wiki http://ddowiki.com/page/Category:Skills to see what skills it will impact, but it is of limited value.

Limited value indeed. In fact, except for CHA boost (Haggle skill) all these +1 to +3 potions are pretty useless.

Int or Wis can get some rogues over the line for key trapsmithing skills on some of the important traps.

If you have a 51 Search buffed, better bring a few of these to Epic CHains of Flame.

Skill potion is far more often used for Intim and UMD than haggle.

The other stats are mediocre at best, although I could see some use for an int skills potion on a rogue who is just not quite up to hitting epic trap boxes.

Agreed the most popular use of these potions is for intimidate users and haggle users, as they do stack with other items/effects. However their duration is short lived, so you have to have several of them to keep drinking during a raid.
