Default The XIII is still recruiting!

"Many fallowers. XIII leaders. Will you become one of the XIII?"

    Introduction

The XIII, a casual based guild on the cannith server, is still looking for players who are interested in finding a fun, friendly guild that is casual and welcome to players of all skill levels! Could this be a guild for you? Find out more below!

    Brief info about The XIII

The XIII was founded by two players, one of which has moved on to other interests. The guild was named The XIII because while there could be many fallowers, the guild could only have 13 high ranked members(Includes both officers and leaders). The XIII was intended to be a small, casual guild that would be friendly for those who have several real-life obligations(Jobs, parenting, and many more!) while promoting good gameplay and putting forth great effort into their gaming skills.

Ever since the introduction of guild updates with update 5, the guilds original intentions remain largely unchanged. As of this post, the guild has recently achieved level 44, and is currently in possession of a Stormglory Bolt. The guild's current airship is unoffically named the "Tempest fighter", and is more of a 'buff ship' than a 'crafting' or 'convienence' ship at the moment, although it is possible for the ship to become more than just a buff ship as our guild increases in level.

    The XIII's goals

The XIII's current goals for the guild are to:

    • Provide a small, friendly and fun community for those to interact with.
    • Provide voluntary help to guild members by creating guild runs and other interactive guild activities.
    • Expand our headcount somewhat by recruting players with reasonable behavior, while still retaining our small community(Though maybe not small by turbine standards, though we don't expect to be a BIG guild)

Our future long-term goals are to:

    • Host our own guild raid runs and quest runs more often.

    • Over time, increase our guild level and provide more permenant amenities to guild members based on feedback and popularity.
    • If game mechanics allow in the future, provide rank categories and rewards for both lower and higher ranked clan members in order to allow growth and provide more benefits for being in the XIII.

    The XIII's rules

Most rules are common sense things in most any guild: No griefing, spamming, negative behavior and many more are not allowed, both in guild chat and in groups. In addition, the rules list is not definite and is subject to change at any time. We try to make our rules reasonable, but we are always open to criticism and change. With that in mind, here is just a few rules that the XIII has as a member, officer and leader of the guild:

    1. While mistakes are ok and understood, and while it is ok to have a little fun, it is not at all fun or welcome to deliberately grief players in groups to disrupt quests/raids and cause unwanted stress. This can not only cause you to be discliplined by our guild, but also by a Turbine staff member if the victim reports such behavior. In short: DON'T grief others.
    2. Anything you put in any of the guild chests is up for grabs by anyone, unless the chest is a officer only chest that is protected by game mechanics. The chest is NOT, by any means, a loot-all chest. Items must not be sold or auctioned to any vendor or player. It is more of a need chest than greed.
    3. Grouping and raids in the XIII is totally optional. We understand that things may come up, both outside and inside a grouping experience, so it is understandable if you do not wish to participate in a guild grouping experience or if you must be excused for a period of time while in a group. However, should you participate, it is important that you participate to the best of your ability, for you agreed to participate in such a activity.
    4. Currently, due to guild mechanics, nobody will be kicked for being inactive. In the past, people were kicked for being 'inactive' for 2 months or longer, but with current guild mechanics and the encumbersome process of sending repeat guild invites to inactive members, we found that it was better to just let the system mark players as 'inactive'. This policy may be subject to change at any time.
    5. Avoid spamming the guild chat with whatever content you may have(Gibberish, trade offers, exc.)

Keep in mind that while it is not a definate list, most of it is common sense stuff. We are fair in providing warnings and being gentle initally, but will not hesistate to resort to consequences, such as being temporarily or permenately banned, squelched by others, loss of rank(If any) and other consequences not mentioned.

    Interested in joining?

If you are interested in joining the XIII, then perhaps you have made the right choice! Here are some joining reminders:

    • It does not matter if you are F2P, P2P or VIP! You do not need to disclose your subscription if you do not wish to, and all subscription statuses are welcome!
    • We are a casual-friendly guild: New or experienced, busy or not busy in real life, you are welcome! As long as you do not have too many major disruptions when in a guild group run of any sort, you do not have to worry too much about in-guild participation!
    • You do not have to worry about total renown gained or taking renown rewards if you want to take something else instead! There is no way for others to tell how much you've contributed, and even so, we do not have renown quotas, requirements or anything of that kind! If you see something else you'd rather take instead of guild renown, you are always welcome to take whatever it is you want!

If you are interested in joining our guild, there are several ways you can ask to join our guild:

    • Sending a letter to ediee, the leader of the guild.
    • Sending a /tell to ediee.
    • Posting on this thread.

When joining, don't hesisitate to tell a little bit about yourself, the character name(s) that you wish to invite into our guild, and one thing that you have learned from reading about our guild(Can be anything from the leader's name, to why our called is called The XIII, one rule in a short form and basically anything mentioned on here!) While optional, you are encouraged to use punctuation and good english formatting when writing about joining our guild. All applications are subject to review and may be approved or declined for various reasons.

If you have any questions, complements or concerns about joining though, you may use any of the contact methods above to reach me. If I am not available, leave a post here or a letter and I will respond back to you as soon as possible.

We hope to see you as some of our new members in the XIII!
