I've found several pairs of these. Usually one to two per ransack. I love these with the vamperic ability added. I also can confirm that they drop from both the coin lords and end chest.

I do find it interesting though that they bind to account on acquire, but when you upgrade them they lose current binding and become bind on equip, so they can be traded/sold.

Have seen a dozen or so drop in end chest of Eyes (3 to me). Never seen but a guildie says he pulled one in the coin lord chest.

I've pulled these (yes, on my non-monk!) and a few other of the named items. I'm far more interested however in why I can't seem to get any of the Marks to drop so I can actually upgrade something. Really annoying me. I'm not buying a bunch of astral diamonds to trade in, that's bordering on the Pay To Win method which I could've sworn DDO was trying to avoid with its store policy.

Finally got mine thanks to someone in the party not needing them. I used them briefly and swapped back to my other handwraps for now. I guess once I combine them they'll be better, but right now they're underwhelming. Running Diplomatic Immunity with them I think I turned 2, maybe 3 mops to stone during the entire quest. I thought it'd be better than that (just a duo running it). Never once did I get stoneskin to trigger.

Yeah on 10 runs saw them drop once to a rogue in the group and only got them because I got the higher roll with the other monk in the party. We always ran on normal and they were in the end chest.

Just checking... you were in earth stance right?

Yes, despite having the 3rd tier wind stance, I really wanted to try these out. With Jidz bracers I had another reason to play with Earth stance, but swapped out of it back to wind before the final battle. I was running with a FvS using a paralyzing greatsword. We had hirelings that basically didn't do much other than heal.

I'll play with them a little more, maybe I just got really unlucky, or fought enemies with pretty good Will saves.

With vampiric on them I primarily just use them to patch heal myself up during fights in groups. I tell the cleric not to heal me till I get under half life, then whenever I get to between 3/4 and 1/2 life I pop on these wraps with vampiric and start popping mobs in wind stance. In just a few mobs I'll self heal myself back up to full life, then swap back to my regular wraps.

Now... if you use the winter event recipes and put an "ice" effect on these wraps, they then become a viable wrap. They suddenly become +5 icy burst vampiric wraps of stunning +6... that occasionally turn a mob to stone. That's pretty dang good wraps right there.

Put ice, or icy burst on these wraps and they become a very viable wrap option.

Have you actually tested icy burst on them then? I assumed as they were named that it wouldn't work as usual but is there a change to them when upgraded that allows it or something?

    I officially stand corrected
Though I was able to put icy burst on them late the other night, the icy burst effect does not seem to function. Huzzah for a waste of a kit. *shrugs*

They are still ok for patching yourself up and the +6 stuns... but yeah... the ice kits don't work.

I'll just stick with my paralyzing wraps of pure good with icy burst added on them. Much better wraps.

Disregard my previous post, I was able to put the effect onto the wraps, but it doesn't function. My bad.

    Default Got Em!!!

Yes, I am way behind in running these quests and maybe everyone is tired of hearing this. In case anyone is still interested and still searching for them, I got them today after nearly 40 runs with combined effort from all my toons of all different classes and races over the past few weeks. So here's what finally made them pop on a solo run with a 15 hire:

    Eyes of stone -
    On Hard difficulty
    With a 10 monk / 6 rogue
Was the 8th run for that toon
Turned "loot based on class" to 'off'
Did salve all the guards needed for bonus, but not every one.
No traps or vigilant sight bonuses
    No troll or cave-in optionals
    End chest

    GOOD LUCK!!!

I've ransacked the chest on 5 characters now and not seen a set yet. I have had around 7-8 of each of the gorgons doccent and gorgons armour drop over the 5 characters of ransacking. Which seems like teh drop rate for named items is pretty high in that chest.

    Thanks

P.S yeah I know they're pretty redundant in game but just want a set.
I can confirm they drop - seen it happen both in Framework and Eyes of Stone.

I can also confirm that, whatever the drop rate mechanic, it's absolutely-insane-fubar-claw-your-eyes-out-in-frustration-oh-my-god-this-is-no-fun-shoot-me-in-the-face horrible...

I ran Eyes of Stone 27 times... TWENTY SEVEN TIMES ... (with breaks obviously to let ransack expire) ... solo... not once did it drop.

Then a Cleric joined me for his first time running because he wanted the Gorgon plate... and he got the wraps drop. 27 runs for me, nothing - one run for him, he gets the drop and he doesn't even need it.

Not to mention that I've now run the undead red names in Sands over 30 times easily and not only have I not seen a blood stone or the dusk trinket... I've haven't seen one named item of any sort.

So, yeah, drop rate mechanic in DDO... fubar.

They do drop from the Coin Lord chest; that's where I got mine.
