I've gotten them to drop only twice, both times from the coin lord's chest.I keep that chest on ransack with 2 guildies, rush in on elite, talk to Tollis, sprint for the door bypassing fight #1.Talk to the lady inside, run to the left, up the stairs and straight down the hall to the chest room.5 minutes a run, picked up 12 gorgon docents,4 gorgon armors,10 blades of fury, and 2 wraps total since starting our weekly Saturday ransack of it.Due to the stance specific nature of many of it's skills, I used mine to add petrification proc to the staff from the end reward of the second part of the chain for my acrobat.

They're dropped for me but I passed them to the monk that was in my party. Petrifying Gnollish Bow can wait, I'm a nice guy.

But now I need Vampiric Wraps for my Phoenix...

I know there out there, I've seen them drop, for the pally in my group, but not me. I have done Eyes of Stone so many times, solo, and groups, that I no longer get loot from the CL or end chest. What am I supposed to do now. If I come back and try again in a couple of days will I start getting loot again, or am I just screwed. Seems a little unfair that I can't get the thing I need from the only place it drops from, after doing it 16 times.

If you're not getting loot at all, you've done some heavy ransacking on the chest.

If you loot a specific chest (or quest end reward) more than 7 times, you get progressively worse loot until you get no loot at all. This resets seven days after you first looted the chest, and it starts dropping stuff like normal.

    Thanks

P.S yeah I know they're pretty redundant in game but just want a set.
I had them passed to me by a generous group member and then pulled a second on a solo run. Also got staff of shadow on two successive runs of the new quest line to upgrade both to vampiric.

My only dilemma is which monk to give the second pair to.

    Default Go with a party!

I think the secret is try to find the handwraps or any other item with a full party, and tell your friends you are after them. Your chances will increase six times to find what you want. It was a pain to me to get these handwraps untill I came in with a party. Found them in one run.

yea, but that's like saying 'I'm doing shroud for a large scale, if someone pulls one can you turn it over to me?'

EVERYONE wants the wraps. The petrifying effect on many items is very very nice. (ESP on the shadowstaff since the two abilities -life stealing and petrifying - have awesome synergy.)

not sure why everyone is so hyped about these the dc on the proc is so low for the level. Infectious would be the way to go i would think on the staff. The wraps are garbage and it makes me sad as there the only high lvl named wraps besides the endless night ones.

+ lesser vampirism on a healing amp build - that's why, for me anyway.

Also - finally pulled them last night. End chest, duoing at level. Also got the staff and the mark in the same session. From weeks of 0/3 pieces and bitter hatred of that chest to 3/3 in 60 minutes.

(BTW, for the conspiracy theorists - on the first run I ever /hugged the chest, I pulled 'em - a guild joke works for once )

They do drop in Eyes Of Stone quest. I ransacked 5 characters and only pulled 1 pair in all those runs, and that was from end chest.

Eyes if stone is rough. Lost track of exact number of runs (20-30), 0 wraps. Maenyas fist's seem to be as elusive, pulled 1 of those.

Here's a tip to get these wraps to drop faster that might help:

Don't use your monk to farm for them.

I pulled my monk through several trips of "Eyes of Stone." While other items (including the Wrath set) came through, the wraps never did.

Took my ranger instead and on one trip, she found them. They're bound to account only so it was easy to transfer them to the monk.

I'm betting that the game option "Show class items for end reward" might be limiting the drop rate for some. I'd turn that off on a non-monk farmer, which might also help.

I didn't wait to farm for those Marks, which dropped even less than the unique loot. I bought some Astral Diamonds from the DDO Store to make the needed marks for my personal love, the Vampiric Stonedusts. Yeah, a light monk with these and a Healing Curse means 2-4 HP per hit. Pleasant. It seems a nice thing to have for the dark monks, too, since they haven't Healing Ki as an option.

Attack on Stormreach is a great series of loot quests, and an easy series to enjoy without the whole annoying and anal ingredients thing for making Green Steel stuff (a matter less important to monks, who can't get GS handwraps anyhow).

The wraps can drop in one of two places in Eyes of Stone, I believe:

    1) A locked chest within one of the hidden corridors between the Coin Lords quarters. (It's where my ranger found them and several other unique bits.) Bring in a rogue hireling or get a wizard or something with Knock ability (buy a Bell of Opening, you cheap bastards).
    2) The boss chest at the end of the quest, after killing Hesstess.

You can also get it from
    3) The end reward from an NPC in Lordsmarch Plaza.
