stone dust handwraps a myth? ;-)

Hey,

Can anyone confirm if the stone dust handwraps drop on live server and also if it is the stated coin lord chest in eyes of stone.

I've ransacked the chest on 5 characters now and not seen a set yet. I have had around 7-8 of each of the gorgons doccent and gorgons armour drop over the 5 characters of ransacking. Which seems like teh drop rate for named items is pretty high in that chest.

looted a pair last night and have yet to do eyes of stone, so i looted it in the 2nd quest in the chain killing the minotaurs...

I saw it drop in the end chest on the quest...can't remember what difficulty but it sure wasn't on Elite, though I notice that on Elite named items drop more often.

I can at least confirm that they drop from the new quests because my wizard pulled a set. But for the life of me I can't remember which chest I pulled them out of. Sorry.

Yep, pulled a pair on my Rogue. I think the secret is to run the quest on something other than a monk.

So it looks like the loot list details from update 7 is incorrect on this one. Its quite specific in saying coinlord chest. Which would be where i'm going wrong. ;-)

Looks from the replies that it could be in random chests but most likely in eyes of stone end chest and not the coinlord one.

I've gotten TWO sets of those things, and I don't have a freakin' monk (I remember one from Eyes of Stone, the other MAY have come from Frame Work, not sure)

It looks like there's something coming in Update 8 though where you can combine them with the Bloody Cleaver (have 2 of those too) so hopefully I'll actually have a use for them shortly...

Yesterday, two monks in party (one==me), and they dropped for a rogue.

I can now confirm that its the end chest from eyes of stone also.

Did 3 runs on elite with two toons (dual boxing) and a set dropped on the last run. Also 4 !! sets of maenya's fists dropped between the two chars on the 3 runs.

On another note they seem to be bugged.

On testing the +6 stunning part of the handwraps doesn't add to your stunning fist Dc like it should. (at least it doesn't change the mouse over DC listed on stunning fist.) Have tried swapping in other sets of stunning wraps and they all change the mouse over correctly.

Just to confirm, it does indeed drop from the Eyes of Stone end chest. According to the wiki, it should also drop from the locked coin lord chest, from which I did pull a named item (full plate).

I got mine after running Eyes of Stone 7 times on my Monk, once on casual, four times on normal, once on hard and once on elite. It dropped in one of the normal runs, in the end chest.

The +6 stunning attribute does seem to be bugged, since I noticed that the DC was the same as my non-stunners.

According to Genasi on the Lam forums, the bug has already been fixed. However, the fix is not retroactive. Any stonedust handwraps which were obtained before 7.1 will not have the appropriate stunning attribute, however there is a way to fix them in U8.

Any wraps that are obtained now will have the Stunning modifier applying correctly.

They might also drop in the optional "Kill every minotaur on the map" chest in Elite Framework near the warforged jerk. Black chest.
