    Default connection problems

    hi,

Since the server maintenance of yesterday i have a few problems. Next to the annoyingly increaseof the loading times in the startscreen, my major problem is connectivity. This, i figure, must be my problem with loading too.

The two major grievences are: 1. It takes me 5 mins or more to get on my server (thelanis) ans 2 i get disconnected after Gladwatch Outpost quest. (i get teleported out cuz of the death of the commander) and during the load i get d/c.

    Can someone help out?

    Cheers,

    Fl0w

I usually offer the same suggestions for people having game issues....

    Update your drivers
Do a thorough virus and spyware scan.
Pop cover off comp and air-dust it.
    Check internet connections (hardware)

below is a copy and paste I saved from people having crashing problems in case I ever do, maybe this will help you, it consists of two responses from DDO techs to help people with crashing.....

    Thank you for your reply.
    Please attempt the steps below:

    1. Rename the "userpreferences.ini" file (eg. olduserpreferences.ini)
    2. Relaunch the game, log in, and pause at the "server select" list
    3. Before logging in click the first button in the row in the upper right-corner (the one with the single down-arrow on it)
    4. Choose Options from the menu

In there under the "Repair" tab click to enable the "Reset game display settings option, click ok, and then select your server and launch again to test. At this point if prompted to enable DirectX 10 or 11 graphics choose no.

    Greetings,
Thank you for contacting Turbine Technical Support. Please open the folder "My Documents" or “Documents” > “Dungeons and Dragons Online” and in there open the “Userpreferences.ini” file and make the following changes in the [Display] section:
    Change "AllowFakeFullScreen=True" to False
    Change "SyncToRefresh=False" to True
Verify that the number following "Resolution=" matches your current Windows desktop resolution.
Change "Antialiasing=" to Disabled if set to 2x/4x etc. (eg. Antialiasing=Disabled )
    Change "AllowDesktopCompositing=False" to True
Under [Render] change "GraphicsCore" to D3D9 (ie. GraphicsCore=D3D9 )
Exit the file and choose yes when prompted to save prior to launching the game to test these settings.
Some additional settings changes can be made from the in-game Options menu:
Under "ADV Graphics" disable the "Player Mesh Combining" setting
Lower the "Player Crowd Quality Control" slider to 0
Under Audio if currently using a "Hardware" mode, change this to one of the "Software" settings and ensure that "Use EAX" is disabled
Under the Troubleshoot section lower the Engine Speed to Medium initially
Set the Maximum Frames Per Second slider to 57.
    Thank you,
    The Turbine Customer Service Team"

Hope this helps you out some
