    Default Change: Spot Skill Effects

So, I know it's been around on the forums before, but just another request for a change. Could we please allow the Spot skill to actually make monsters truly visible when you actually spot them? If you succeed in a Spot check, you should see a monster (unless they are actually invisible, then you should see an invisible outline) as if they weren't hiding. If you hear a monster, then they can still be invisible, since you don't actually see them. I can't tell you how bothered I am running quests and seeing some outline of a wolf, or hobgoblin, or whatever else happens to be hiding right in front of me, but them not actually showing up until they attack. They aren't invisible, they're just hiding (and obviously not well enough for me not to spot them), so why can't I see them?

Actually, you only need a spot score of 20 to see invisible creatures.

    Default Actually....

No, a 20 only lets you notice the presence of an invisible creature. Beating their hide score by 20 will let you tell what square the target is in, but they are still invisible. You'd need an 80 to actually be able to see an invisible creature. But that's also aside from the point. In DDO, we still can't even see just hidden creatures, no matter what our Spot is.
