How difficult is it, really ... to epic-ify my Xuum and SoS?

Can someone quantify the grind for me?

I think it means I'll be doing a metric ton of E-VON6 and E-DQ. Just curious if that's like a bajillion, or like 20.

Not enough experience with Epics to answer that, but in an eVON6 group yesterday, someone was offering like 8 large scales + 8 large stones for an eSOS shard, and I doubt he would have made this deal if the shard had dropped...

I've done eVoN6 about 20 times. 2 runs had 1 eSoS shard drop. 1 run had 3. The others had zero.

Take that as you will.

Took me about a month of running von 6 everyday keeping about 9 alts on timer to get the shard. In that time I saw 3 shards drop. 2 I lost rolls on, and the 3rd was passed to me without a roll to make me stop asking for it.

Xuum is in the bajillion range.

The only people I know with it did EDQ1 (& DQ2 often) with several characters every day for months before seeing the shard ever drop.

Agreed, extremely rare, sadly.

Looking at over 90 Epic VON 6s now. I can't even remember the last time I saw the shard in someone else's name.

I have run 300-400 epic DQ's, not only have I not goyten an Xuum shard, I don't recall ever seeing it drop for anyone.

The SoS shard is (or was) more comon. It seemed to drop fairly often when the raid came out, but I don't think I have seen one in the last hundred runs. I personally have gotten just one over several hundred eV6's.
