all races have something going for them.
wf : con and pa and immunities
halflings : strongers buffers in the game thanks to heroic companion and sneak atk/hit and saves
humans : 2 +1 stat you like and healing amp and versatility and 1 feat more
elfs : scimater bonus to atk and hit and and ench saves
drows : rapeir atk and hit spellresist will be 30 in next update 10+lvl.
dwarves : con and dwarven axes ac bonusses and hate against certain enemies.
half elf : thunder dragonmark i guess and some things humans get too
h orcs : str and pa increased damage with 2 handers better rage
for a warchanter you can't go wrong with orcs or dwarves. Personally i favorite h orcs
a lot more because of there enh. You can splash warchanters also pretty good to 14/6 and
still have better song power then a pure spellsinger. This leaves room for a 14/6 bard barb or
16 2 2 bard fighter barb or 16 2 2 bard rogue fighter .
I like the 14/6 barb one because you ll be able to get frenzier berserker and stronger rages thanks to the orc enh +2 to str when raged +2 from racial and when you drop below a certain % health you gain a str bonus too add that to the already rage and the frenzy and youre looking at a pretty nice str bonus without getting a lot of exclusive
gear.
the down side is that orc race is 1300 tp wich is way to overpriced imo.. but ah well can you do about it ?!
If you're vip its free tho.
I tell you what, I am playing that build right now with a THF Horc. I freakin' love it. So far my favorite toon to date. Great buffs, melees love to party with you. Awesome DPS, you will not be first on kill chart, but you will be up there. I use mostly a paralyzing Falchion. Freeze as many as I can while they are getting the beatdown, works great in GH and the Vale. Haste, Displacement, Inspire Courage super fun. I followed the Ghangis Kahn build for the most part tweaking it for playstyle. I think he has a Horc version up as well. I also have a 20 cleric, and I think the 16/2/2 is a great build if you like buffing as well as fighting. My cleric never fights, so it was a good alternative.
Good summary. And I am of course biased as a Dwarven Warchanter but you did leave off the fact that dwarves get innate bonuses to saves aswell as an enhancement line for more saves against spells. My Axesinger easily breaks 30+ to all saves in raids.
My Warchanter at 20 has trouble hitting some mobs even with power attack turned off, so I think the value of power attack enhancements is slightly diminished compared to classes with ridiculous high attack bonuses like barbs or fighters.
To OP: Id definitely reccomend looking into the Axesinger build. Its posted as a 28 point build but 34 points is more con and whatever else you want. Do take this with a grain of salt though- Update 7 gave a lot of new options when trying to build a warchanter. It gave warchanters a lot of things that typically we have had to splash other classes to get access to. I think some of the post-u7 warchanter builds are yet to be discovered.
