Am I getting my TR Ranger Past Life Feat?

I TRed my Ranger and as a past life feat I got +2 to missile weapon damage. However, when I look at the feat it says "Requires: fighter class level 4." I'm now a level 6 Ranger and it's still in red. Is the Ranger a "fighter class"? Am I getting this feat? The fact that it's in red makes me think not. If I have to take 4 levels of fighter to get this, that would bum me out.

The fact that "Requires: fighter class level 4" is in red makes me think that I haven't satisfied the requirement, even though I'm now a 7th level Ranger.

Do I have to take 4 levels of Ranger in order to get the benefit from this past life feat?

The Ranger Past Life Passive will grant +2 damage to ranged attacks (non-throwing) as stated without any levels in fighter. The part where it states in red that it requires 4 levels of fighter is an issue that stems from the Ranger Past Life Passive being a copy and paste of 7 fighter Weapon Specialization feats (Weapon Specializations Great Crossbow, Heavy Crossbow, Light Crossbow, Longbow, Repeating Heavy Crossbow, Repeating Light Crossbow, Shortbow).

It is just a text error that you need not worry about.

Wow. That is a very interesting tidbit. How you would know that is beyond me, but thank you for the information! For the past couple weeks I've been wondering if/how/when I should plug 4 Fighter levels into my Ranger!
