Default Being Charged for 3 Months when chose 1

Yes, recently I attempted to buy a 1 month subscription but for some reason it went 3 months and said it would do 1 month starting Febuary 14th, 2011 , now the problem is my credit card company says I was charged 3 times for 2.50$ and once for 11.50$ off my prepaid mastercard. This morning when i went to log in it said I was now a Premium account now, when I phoned the credit card company they said no money was put back at all. I am wondering if I can be credit for 1 month susbcription seeing as its fairly obvious Turbine has recieved enough funds from me for a 1 month period rather than a 3 month period as I do not want to be on a 3 month plan rather a monthly payment plan. Can this problem be resolved swiftly as I do not want to be out 18$ on my prepaid card I had money uploaded to. ((this sint a cc you buy in a store you upload money at it and there are transaction fees on it))

    Sincerely

I'm sorry, but we can't assist with account specific issues via the forums. Please contact the Account Management department for help.

Generally speaking, what you're describing looks like a few authorization holds (sometimes they appear to be more than $1.00 when converted from US Dollars) and perhaps a points purchase? None of those amounts are for a subscription fee, and subscription fees are only ever charged as a whole amount. The authorization holds will be automatically released back to the card. Turbine requests the holds to verify the card is valid, but the card company determines the length of time of the hold. As it doesn't sound like a single subscription payment has processed, that would be why you are back at Premium status.

Our system deals with pre-paid cards the same as credit cards. However, we have found that pre-paid cards sometimes don't release authorization holds for several days. Until those funds are released, they won't be available to use for payments.

Regarding the payment plan, that usually happens if a payment is failed in the past. The system usually requires that you complete that first plan before allowing you to actual change plans. The Account Management department can override that.
