Default Clearing Things Up About Intel Rq'd

    February 4th, 2011 Update:

*This is not a recruitment post, simply an introduction/information post*

Intel Rq'd would like to thank all of those who have joined us for our raids, and all of the great compliments, and I would like to refer you all to a new post I have made describing what Intel Rq'd is all about so that everyone can have a better understanding of what to expect when grouping with us.

We are an active, helpful guild. When we started out, our goal was to have fun, learn, and teach. Everyone in Intel is willing to help out other people learn how to better their Play Style, Character Build, and Knowledge of Quests and Raids without belittling them and making them feel stupid just because they were new to the game. You don't have to be part of Intel Rq'd to benefit from these things, as we have honorary members that are in other guilds, but enjoy grouping with us.

You can also read my post describing Intel Rq'd a little more in-depth:

After recent in-game experiences, I would like to add a semi-off-topic here.

I am newish, I dont have all the equips that makes people uber, I am lvl 18 for the first time, on a rogue.

I ran a party with 2 member (I am guessing officers) from Intel Req. I had a LOT of fun, learned a LOT of good things that were given to me freely, with links on the internets to be verified, and answered all my sincere questions. I was also pointed to players who could help me flag for stuff I wanted to run, and players that could give me solid advice on my class. In the run in question, I pulled my Bloodstone, and offered it to the officer that was being so helpful and informative. They didnt take it, even though they were after one themselves. The cleric from IR that was with us (after seeing me use a wand to top up my HPs, just told me to relax, he had me covered, I didnt need to worry. All in all I can say it was a very very nice experience in game, and the good part of it came from the members of IR (the other party members as well, and also Turp, the man-with-the-star in case)

Yesterday I ran my first VoD. I was that nervous when I applied. Leader asks me to link BBs and tell my HPs. I did that. I was accepted in the raid party, and there were several OR people there (leader was OR too). Just being allowed in the raid after linking equips and telling HPs was a victory to me, not because I play for others, but because my efforts had been good enough to meet standards set by people who play for way longer than I do. Leader was OR, and asked many of my newbish question privately in Tells, gave clear instructions, let me do the traps in there, there was no drama about chest loot. Again, a very very nice experience.

So I may not know of all the behind the curtains drama that goes on Orien, and even if the guilds in question have good relations. My experiences with both have been awesome so far. Will there be people in them that will rub me the wrong way (or the other way round)? We are humans, thats expected. But again, so far, nothing but thanks to Intel Req (being the OP and more on topic) and to OverRaided (second post, and part of my semi-off-topic).

I made no claims about their ability or lack thereof. Merely the holier than thou attitude that comes across on the forums, in almost every single post.
Don't get me wrong, I'm the exact same way, so I hold no ill will over it. There are friends that I run with regularly, and truly consider friends, while the two of us battle it out in text on the forums as if we were mortal enemies.
I was simply offering a possible answer to the question posed.

Just curious, what's the time zone for the majority of your members?

Yes, as Delacroix said, we're mostly EST.

We have a few people splashed all the way from Atlantic to Pacific time, but our Raid times, and Prime online times are EST.

    Good group of guys.

Was playing on one of my random alt's who was a poor monster build, who still had not flagged for shroud. Had an ad up and next thing i know the Guild leader applies and asks for star to add some of his guild. He promptly added them and got me through let sleeping dust lie. Then let me run the shroud shortly thereafter, where i pwned them by dcing after clicking on the portal killing the party. Good fun.

Best of luck, hard to find a guild willing to help out random people. Really made my night thank you very much.

Good guild, nice people. Dynacel in particular has impressed me with his positive attitude to pugging with inexperienced players.

    You sexist Jerk!

    LOL!

We actually have 7 female members, and 4 Honorary members that are also female.

One of the ones that was helping you flag was female, so I just thought I'd correct you... Either way, no big deal... And thank you for the compliments.

That actually happened to me when i was on my alt. Illiayana a cleric. Some members popped on, helped me out and even helped me in my first shroud run. I was thinking about asking to join but figured I would eventually. Nothing but good things from any member of Intel Rq'd

Also, this is not a recruitment thread. Intel Rq'd doesn't actively recruit. We just let the players come to us.

Anyway, the point of this thread is just because I would like to clarify something to everyone. Yes, Intel Rq'd has a raid schedule, but we are not a RAIDING guild. We are a CASUAL guild. We are very active, but we are still casual.

Our raid schedule is there for a guideline, it's not mandatory, and as such there are times when scheduled raids don't go as planned or are postponed.

The reason I'm mentioning this is because we've been getting applicants applying to our guild that have been told they we are a hardcore raiding guild, so I wanted to let everyone know that is not the case. We do every Raid in the game, (except Titan because we're still getting people flagged for it). But we don't schedule Epic runs of anything. We just throw Epic groups together whenever we feel like it...

We are an active, helpful guild. When we started out, our goal was to have fun, learn, and teach. We're not one of those guilds that doesn't want to teach or help anyone but themselves. This is just a game after all... What's the harm in helping others?
Thanks for helping me finish SOS last night. I had been hunting for a group for about 2 wks-but it seemed every group that formed either split up before they started or found that half the party was not prepped.

Intel hosted a run and it went down flawlessly (cept the lil dwarf that kept getting burned to death-lol).

Again-thanks for your help! When you run a "one man show"-sometimes its hard to PUG certain runs-you guys made this one easy!

Thanks for the compliments sir! You can't have a party without the beer!

Also, you may go explody every time a Fire Elemental glances at you, but you did a great job of following directions and doing what was needed on your end.

Intel req'd and OR are both some really good guild.

I have ran my first abbot with intel, i learned to zerg with OR.

I saw some OR that were really funny (guyo lol) and really pleasant to run with, all my experiences with you guys proved that you were the top of the top.

In the intel side, really fun runs, solid players and really helpful learning runs.

Overall I love orien guilds lol.
