Default Ranged DPS? Introducing "Heavy Weps Guy"!

Before I say anything else, The following character planner has been posted on an old version.. so I think I would have a few extra AP... but otherwise I dont think anything vital has changed.

    Fighter 14/ Rogue 6

The aim of this build is to take advantage of the mechanic I's Int bonus to repeaters, and the fighters insane feat selection. The end result is from what I can gather.. pretty decent Damage for a ranged character and the ability to do traps in most places.

    The stats:
    INT:
Int is 27 at 20. Adding a +6 item, +2 airship, +2 Exceptional and +1 alchemical ends the Int value at 38, Viable damage boost for ranged.

    DEX:
The Dex is 23 at 20. Adding A +6 item, +2 airship +2 exceptional and +1 alchemical end the Dex value at 34, Viable Chance to hit for ranged.

    CON:
14 at 20 with +6 item, +2 airship, +2 Exceptional is 24... nothing amazing but with the fighter toughness line I believe its more than enough.

All in all, on mobs vulnerable to sneak attack and criticals I believe the damage output of this ranged character might actualy be viable with the fix to repeaters. Taking advantage of the fighters flanking mastery and improved critical feats should dramaticly increase the dps output. I threw in hamstring at the end because I heared somewhere that it was usable with ranged in a recent update, so I figured it would save some rage from melee when Kiting was a do or die perogitive. (also I had an extra feat left over with nothing else worthwhile to use it with since many shot doesnt work on repeaters... that would be a tad OP with Imp Prec shot/sneak attacks hitting 3 at a time on multiple targets...

Feed back? is this idea even worth the investment? Or should I scrap it and try on an updated planner? I'd appreciate any and all feedback.

Just read up that the drow melee and ranged lines are getting an increase via merg and so is the SR line (being removed and becoming static)

This would mean an inate SR to help with the low will on this build.

And the possibility of swaping out a few un nessesary feats in favor of Weapon Finese and a few 2 weapong fighting feats for a viable melee option with rapiers (and the rapier damage/attack line)

    Hey. Looks interesting and fun!

My suggestion would be to consider taking 2 Ranger instead of your last 2 Fighter. You won't 'lose' a Fighter bonus feat as you get Rapid Shot for free at Ranger 2.

The perks of Ranger 2 apart from Rapid Shot are: 2WF (Meh), Bow Strength and a Favoured Enemy, as well as access to Ranger Dex +1 and Favoured Enemy Damage +1 as enhancements.

Which, to my mind, probably beat out Fighter 13 and 14s access to an extra action boost and flanking bonus.

You could, if you were willing, take Manyshot, and bust it out when it's off cooldown on a swapped in Longbow of awesomeness. I'm totally unsure if that would even be worthwhile given your Int Mod relative to your Str, and the loss of the Hamstring feat (which sounds potentially awesome if it does work on ranged).
    Khyber: Aggrim (Completionist!)
In Von 3 the breakables in the Troll Ambassador optional room are slow to get to and unnecessary for ransack.
    Blind insta-kills floating eye balls.

I looked at ranger, but Bow strength is reletivly useless since this build utilizes crossbows... and that is already covered by Int, the Favored enemy would actualy be very nice, but to get that I would lose a final rank of flanking bonus which I think is an even trade off in the end.. factoring the favored enhancments... Buuut It could be worth looking into... thanks for the idea, ill crunch some numbers tomorrow!

Also, manyshot with a swaped out longbow or equivilent shortbow would possibly end up with less damage considering the bow would have a zero damage modifier compared to the int mod on the x-bows..

I was looking at your last 6 levels, that being of fighter, you have as you said pretty much no useful feats? why not do 12 rog/8 fighter then?

You'd still get the majority of fighter feats, only tradeoff would be greater spec (+2 stacked damage) and -1 BaB, for an extra 2d6 sneak damage? (that does apply yes?) oh, and I suppose the fighter HP, though with the extra skill points you might actually make some of your skills (like hide/move silently?) more effective.

Did I just necro something? oops in advance

Edit: also with rogue you get the heavy repeater feat free and one bonus feat at 10 rogue or something

ONT I would second the 2 levels of ranger, the free feats are that nice. And you can use healing wands early.
