feeling rogueish -- high lvl stealth-activities?

18rogue/1ftr - dex build elf (max hide/sneak so i'm at like 50 in each).

No greensteel. No non-slip boots (does FoM scrolls prevent slipping? I could scroll one of those then scroll sleet storms for fighting, I guess).

Are there many cool stealth activities I can accomplish? Awesome chests to sneak to, or whole missions with great end loot I might have a chance of stealth(or mostly stealth) winning? I've been running chests in GH with minimal fighting, but at 19 that obviously isnt too much of a challenge.

I've been searching for threads on the subject... but the search in this forum is pretty sad. I think I might resort to googling ddo.com. Someone said mrcow had a good thread but when I searched for topics he started about stealth i got nothin.

Yeah, you've got to find them in chests. Your best bet is to run VoN every 3 days until you get the boots.

As for quests, stealth solo Monestary for some roguish fun and try no to kill anything. Try not to even draw any aggro during the run.

Monastery
Sins of Attrition (this is pretty tricky, as you have to move mobs with sound: you might want to watch some videos to get ideas)
Epic Claw of Vulkoor (once you hit 20) is a great sneak quest, though a hireling healer really helps with the first (and only) fight.

That's about all I can think of that is really stealth-able.

The chest at the entrance to the arena in Epic VoN1 is a good stealth mission. It will require a fairly high stealth (60s, if I recall) and a lockpick skill of 70 (door DC is 90) but it's a good sneaky mission.

Awesome, thanks. 60s stealth, wow. I can get there with some hide/movesilent items but I'm also a dex build. Would that even be attainable with a non-dex build if you were just a 32 pt build?

Same with the lockpick requirement. 32 dex, voice of the master, +10 lockpick item +skillboost 3 and +5 tools and I am only at +59
With some obvious upgrades I could get to 65, but those last 5 pts might be hard to come by

That's a 41 with no dex pretty easily and very few buffs.

Toss on 10 dex, 2 from GH, 1 more luck, maybe an enhancement and a +6 shroud item and you're over 60


Without that 10 dex you'd probably need some more trickiness - like enhancement bonus items, etc. etc.

I didnt think about the +6 shroud item, although it will be a while before I have it since the triple air hp bracers will be my #2 item.

bleh keep getting ripped apart at the 2nd lever. . . .tried chaining several noisemakers together but that isnt working. They turn off the first one and there's always at least 1-2 guys left behind when i get most of them far enough away.

2. get chest
3. stealth find 2nd lever
4. try some pathetic attempts to pul mobs away with sound, get revealed, pull lever and run around like a chicken with your head cut off trying to do the puzzle - get held/harried/stunning blow tot he faced, die. cuss at computer and release
5. return before dungeon resets, stealth to puzzle. finish, get through jets to the end and do puzzle stealth. profit
* bonus points if you get the orange named cleric who is impossible to kill for your gear layout and do puzzle in no less than 60 minutes while you use up all your heal wands!

seriously i think i'm just gona strip naked at 2nd lever, eat the death and come back... faster than trying to kite **** around and do the puzzle.

You can sneak to the end of Bastion of Power, which is pretty fun, although you've still got to fight a large demon to finish the quest. Might like to practice assassinating the sentries to help parties get through there without spawning portals.

The new Frame Work quest has a good stealth optional, although it's a bit low level for you.
