    Default Names and Surnames

The Premium Services I ordered (Character Rename) are finally here: mail's arrived a couple of days ago, so time requested to process them is about a week. Not a super-fast service, but hey it's all good for patient people.

Anyway, I was dismally shocked to find out that I could only change my Character's NAME and not the SURNAME, even if I specifically requested for it in the ticket: having seen the in-game availability of the /changesurname command and thinking that it would have been cool to finally have instantly recognizable character surnames (the commonality helps in MMOs) led me to think that it was an available feature.

Long story cut short, I would think that adding that missing feature would greatly improve the game flexibility, and I will personally look forward to that.

PS this command would be greatly helpful in cases of in-game harassment and stalking, as well as to get a clean slate after wiping a few pugs

PPS forgot to mention that for the /changesurname command a <null> variable possibility should be included too, if that command is implemented at all that is.

Old dead horse topic, I'm afraid. Do a forum search on "surname" and you'll see we've been trying for years for this, but there seems to be a technical difficulty in getting it working.

I support and dream of the day we can change or delete our old surnames, but stopped holding my breath a long time ago.

I am happy to pass along your interest in this feature.

If this does become available, I'll update the Premium Services Sticky.

haha yeah when I started with my first toon I did not take a surname thinking I could pick one up later... I learned the hard way this was not the case.
