My half-elf bard will now be gaining +5 to saves thanks to the paladin dillettante.... wow. Just wow. He is now so much better than the human option and I'm glad I went the half-elf route a month ago when I started him. I had faith in Turbine and it looks like it paid off.

I love the Fighter Dilletante. Will give +2 to my monk' stun bonus, which is awesome.

I think I might even drop my idea of going completionist, since it'd give me only +1 dc, and go 3 figther lives + half even, giving me a sum of +5 dc, which would make my dc for Stun Fist to rise to 47 without a +3 wis and a +7 wis item, in which case it'd be 48. Let's not forget that Quivering Palm would be 38, and that would be able to insta-kill stuff in shavarath way more easily now.

A few things which take the shine of this idea:
    1. You could go Dwarf and pretty much get the extra DC. Heck, you could get 3 extra DC (albeit at a 12 AP cost).
    2. I'm guessing you will need to have the stunning blow feat to invest in the AP line
    3. Quivering palm does not benefit from tactics feats/enhancements

TBH, even after these additional enhancements I'm not sure how much value over human extra feat/class splashes they have. There are a few nice combos which have already been highlighted (bards/sorcs with pally dill, monks with cleric dill) but on the whole, nothing that really sticks out.

Perhaps this means they've got the balancing right?

They'll be better for certain builds/play styles. Which IMO is a good thing. They're not the end all be all for every build, but offer some strong options. Now if only they could fix how they look...

Agreed that they look weird. When I made my male half-elf I went through almost every combination and only found one that I liked. And then a friend told me I looked like Kurt Cobain.

Their cheeks and noses are really strange.

So I'm working on a 17 Favored Soul / 3 Paladin Melee focused build with the Sorcerer Dillettante feat.
My question is will the +1 CHA bonus from the Sorcerer Dillettante feat enhancements stack with the Favored Soul CHA enhancements??

Does the Monk Dilettante feat for the wisdom bonus to AC require that the Half-Elf not be wearing armor or a shield?
Per the updated "update", I'd say yes. Looks like standard monk centering.

    -------------------
    # Improved Monk Dilettante I

    * Prereqs: Level 5, Half-Elf Monk Dilettante, 15 AP Spent
    * Cost: 1 AP
    * Benefit: Your defensive skills have improved, and you are now able to add up to 3 points of your wisdom bonus to your armor class when you are defensively centered.

    # Improved Monk Dilettante II

    * Prereqs: Level 10, Half-Elf Monk Dilettante, Improved Monk Dilettante I, 34 AP Spent
    * Cost: 2 AP
    * Benefit: Your defensive skills have improved, and you are now able to add up to 4 points of your wisdom bonus to your armor class when you are defensively centered.

No, as they are considered class enhancements. picking the FVS CHA would lockout the dilli CHA

    Default Half Elf Arcane Archer

If you happen to be a tr 3 ranger +6 bow damage, tr into a half elf fighter and take the ranger dilettante line and go three levels with it +8 damage, and get the additional fighter damage with it as well. What would we be looking at for bow damage?

Actually I don't think this is correct as its from two separate sources. One is coming from the Class itself (FVS), the other is coming from the Dilletante feat enhancements (in this case, Sorc). I have not actually put it to the test however. This is a very good question.

Can anyone confirm one way or the other?

It counts as a class enhancement. They would not stack.

What about Human adaptability and something like Fighter strength from the dilettante feat?

human adaptability is a race enhancement; fighter strength is a class enhancement, so they would stack.

    1. Dwarf are fat and beardy. And I can get +2 dc for 3ap (maybe +3 for 6ap in the future) if Im a half-elf, instead of +2 for 6ap or +3 for 12ap of a dwarf.
    2. Stunning blow? Why? Stunning fist is all that matters.
    3. Oh, that's a bummer. But no matter, I wasnt counting much on it.

I'd rather do Fighter or Rogue Dilettante on a Monk.

Rogue would net you what, 3d6 Sneak Attack. A Ninja-Spy would have 6d6 SA while still being pure Monk.

Fighter gets you the tactic lines, access to a STR enhancement, and if for some crazy reason you wanted it, Martial Weapon Prof.

Monks have enough natural durability and self healing that I honestly would say that Cleric Dilettante would be overkill

Very MAD builds can benefit from Helf Dilly stat boosts, Human Adaptability, and stat enhancements from their actual class(es).

    Improved Ranger Dilettante I
    Cost: 1
    ML: 5
    Requires: Ranger Dilettante
Up to 4 STR bonus to damage with bows. Treated as second level ranger.

This should count as bow strength as a pre-requisite for Arcane Archer, if not that, then perhaps stage II?
Since at max tier, it could work pretty well for some low/moderate AA+other builds

    Default cleric dillie enhancements

Why do the cleric dilettante enhancements require bard dilettante to take beyond level 3 cleric enhancement. Is this a typo?
