    Default Feedback - Operation: Siegebreaker

    Finish this!

Delera Omaren IV has been able to discover a way directly into Droaam's army headquarters. Seek her advice in Lordsmarch Palace and then run the quest 'Operation: Siegebreaker' to bring this invasion to an end and let us know what you think of the quest.

After running the quest for a bit, take some time to give us feedback by copying and pasting the following questions and posting your responses after each.

    • How long did it take you to complete this quest?
    • Do you have a clear understanding of the quest story, and was it interesting?
    • Were the visuals and environment in this quest appropriate to the theme?
    • Are you likely to run this quest more than once on Live?
    • What do you think of the XP and loot rewards given the difficulty of the quest?
    • Please make additional comments here:

    Completion Time 33 Mins.

Gave up on stealth when I got to the big boom.

Nice addition of a Smash and Grab and Hack and Slash type quest, to the already rewarding stealth quest.. thank you very much!

Though that boom is a bit much to the unsuspecting.. HUGE radius...

Very very interesting puzzle, I liked it very much.. nice brain teaser.

I love the night hag, looks awesome!

Good amount of loot.. still wondering where to get these marks

    *EDIT*

End rewards need some work.. see screenshot.

I was NOT expecting those mobs there at the end. They had me a-gigglin' way too loud for the late hour.

Yea, saw that huge barrel and thought they wouldn't, they did. Puzzle was easy once you figured it out. I want one of those mounts!!!! This quest was really fun. And I loved the public restroom too!!!!

At the end, once you figure out the puzzle can be solved by stepping once on every button of the star pattern, it becomes stupidly easy.

How about this for a change: the first time, when you unlock the barrier, they are all lit up, to help new players learn how it works in calm environment. BUT during the fight, the buttons are randomly lit/unlit, meaning you have to think a little.

Good quest, lots of surprises like the others.

Was caught off guard by the large barrel. Also, min-max FvS's like me better be careful in the bathroom... guess we don't look good covered in fecal matter.

Again on elite it may be rough at level, which is a nice change.

    Completion Time: Over an hour.

Do you have a clear understanding of the quest story, and was it interesting? Was interesting yes.

Were the visuals and environment in this quest appropriate to the theme? Yes

Are you likely to run this quest more than once on Live? No hated the puzzle at the end and having todo it over and over again really pee'ed me off.

What do you think of the XP and loot rewards given the difficulty of the quest? Not very good - set quest reward was good. I also got offered a blank ring like the picture in butlerfamilywa post.

    Please make additional comments here:
So am i the only one that hated this quest - it was like a raid and I HATE PUZZLES. I hate the idea of being forced todo a puzzles to move on.

I died on barrels. You will get someone in a group who will hit these and wipe the group i can see it happening.

I used alot of mana pots in this quest im a level 20 cleric soloing and it was normal. Did i say i hate puzzles.

    Default Bugged Optionals

I like the quest overall and the optionals to fight the medusas early, but twice now (out of 3 runs) one or more of the optional objectives have been bugged.

Unfortunately I cannot yet determine the exact cause of the bug, but to give an example:

During my third run two of the initial tents were set on fire, but it only counted one as having been set on fire. This could have something to do with timing, because I believe both were set on fire at or near the same time. I used the monk's burning hands finishing move on all three tents just to double check, but the optional objective counter stayed at 1 tent remaining.

Likewise the explosive barrels suffers from the same problem, which could have to do with setting off multiple chains at or around the same time. Two out of my three runs I would clear every single explosive barrel and still be left with 9 or so barrels left on the optional objective. Since the explosive barrels are limited to the one room, I do not possibly see how I could have missed any, especially since I completed this objective on one run and did nothing different.

I'd like to add that for 2 of the runs I solo'd them, meaning that I cannot attribute either bug to weird party antics going on that I may have been unaware of. I'll continue running them to farm for marks, but so far my thoughts are:

Bugged optionals (and thereby missing medusas and chests) need to be addressed.

The farm for marks is a little excessive, especially given that marks do not seem to come in the chain's end reward list. I'd strongly advocate putting them on that list, or even if you want the grind to exist, make them appear on every 5th completion or something similar. A greensteel-esque grind for the marks seems out of place for the quality of items being presented.

Well the marks are on the end reward list. I pulled one out of two runs thru the series. Might just be a real low drop rate. I discovered that you really have to hunt down those pesky barrels. The two giant barrels are dan gerous tho so be prepared for them. The medusas popped in different ways on both of my runs thru. I fought one in the beginning, The other two appeared in the end fight on one run. On the other run I had one in the end fight and one at the altar area fight. But the crafting marks do appear in the chain end reward list as I do have one.

The marks, as far as I can tell, are Random drops from chests in the quests, as well as end rewards for the SERIES.

I have received a mark in the harbor quest, and from the end reeward turn in of the series.

Just making sure, but you know there's 3 tents in the first room, and another big one in the next room (the one with the cook)? For a total of 4 tents to complete the optional.

    Default Explosive Barrels Optional Bug

    Missed that, thanks.

I've been able to pick out what was causing the bug I was getting with the explosives barrels. Timing didn't seem to be a factor, but I found out my culprit when one of the kobold casters used Acidball at me near the barrels. The initial barrels the spell broke counted towards the optional, but none of the rest of the ensuing chain reaction counted afterward.

Considering the number and health of casters in elite, I'd imagine this bug would be more likely observed there.

I'm not sure if there are any other scenarios that can cause your barrel count to be low, even after all barrels have been destroyed, but hopefully my findings can be replicated easily enough for the bug to be addressed.

On a personal note, I still think the marks are a tad low on drop rates. The gear being offered seems as though it's targeted to more casual players, yet to actually obtain the requisite marks to craft an item (or heaven forbid upgrade the sora kell set) you'll end up running each quest several times over. And that's mostly just hoping for a mark to appear on your end rewards list, a feat I have seen once out of 4 chain completions so far. Let alone the mark you're looking for.

the quest itself was a blast..........literally. i mean when i saw that texas sized explosive barrel, i thought to myself. well how big could the explosion be. Well when it blew it sounded like a nuclear bomb going off, flash and all. now the latrine area.... eww is all i got to say. and finally yes i will be playing these quests on the live servers.

    * How long did it take you to complete this quest?
First time: 67 minutes (massive complications occurred in the final room)
Afterwards: 6-15 minutes, depending on how many optionals I felt like doing

    * Were the visuals and environment in this quest appropriate to the theme?
    Yes.

    * Are you likely to run this quest more than once on Live?
    Indeed.

    * What do you think of the XP and loot rewards given the difficulty of the quest?
The EXP is fine, perhaps a bit high on some of the optionals.

The amount of loot you can get is based on taking time to do the optionals, which works well.

    * Please make additional comments here:
The last room currently has a problem where reentry causes the portals to come back even after the puzzles were completed. This made the last room for me quite a nightmare as I had a host of continuous spawns from 4 portals towards the end tripping over the puzzle buttons.

This is worrisome. Can you PM me the details?

    What difficulty were you on?

What health % was the boss at when you died/left, what was she at when you re-entered the room? Roughly.

I need step-by-step instructions to reproduce the problem with respawning portals.
