    Default Feedback - Operation: Siegebreaker

    Finish this!

Delera Omaren IV has been able to discover a way directly into Droaam's army headquarters. Seek her advice in Lordsmarch Palace and then run the quest 'Operation: Siegebreaker' to bring this invasion to an end and let us know what you think of the quest.

After running the quest for a bit, take some time to give us feedback by copying and pasting the following questions and posting your responses after each.

    • How long did it take you to complete this quest?
    • Do you have a clear understanding of the quest story, and was it interesting?
    • Were the visuals and environment in this quest appropriate to the theme?
    • Are you likely to run this quest more than once on Live?
    • What do you think of the XP and loot rewards given the difficulty of the quest?
    • Please make additional comments here:

    Completion Time 33 Mins.

Gave up on stealth when I got to the big boom.

Nice addition of a Smash and Grab and Hack and Slash type quest, to the already rewarding stealth quest.. thank you very much!

Though that boom is a bit much to the unsuspecting.. HUGE radius...

Very very interesting puzzle, I liked it very much.. nice brain teaser.

I love the night hag, looks awesome!

Good amount of loot.. still wondering where to get these marks

    *EDIT*

End rewards need some work.. see screenshot.

I was NOT expecting those mobs there at the end. They had me a-gigglin' way too loud for the late hour.

Yea, saw that huge barrel and thought they wouldn't, they did. Puzzle was easy once you figured it out. I want one of those mounts!!!! This quest was really fun. And I loved the public restroom too!!!!

At the end, once you figure out the puzzle can be solved by stepping once on every button of the star pattern, it becomes stupidly easy.

How about this for a change: the first time, when you unlock the barrier, they are all lit up, to help new players learn how it works in calm environment. BUT during the fight, the buttons are randomly lit/unlit, meaning you have to think a little.

This quest seem to have several bugs with the final room and this one is only one example

As one can see - three puzzle set - that overlay each other at about 5° rotated.

As this happened to me it was like a nightmare to solve

An other problem is that even if you solved the puzzle the Hag seem to wait till you finish current mobs before she respawn. Also depending at which time you solve the puzzle and if you directly attack her or ignore her and first attack incoming mobs she start to bug out.

    * We have collectable bags, mind you, even hireling folders, but can I have that 6-pack for my potions please?
    * Having already a past life on the dieng EU servers, I rerolled here and started from scratch as I like the game and the community, so lets see what awaits me here

Can you describe, step by step, how did you get the three puzzle sets to overlay like this?

The hag is supposed to wait until you clear the currently active mobs before reentering combat, that's working as intended.

She starts to bug out? How?

Please be more specific. In order to fix any issues in this encounter I need to be able to replicate them, step by step.

The screenshot doesn't tell me how you got into this state.

Flimsy the best way to reproduce this is to go into the fight and kill the first two waves and then ddoor out. I did this on my wizard to go get more sp. When I came back the puzzles bugged out and there were multiples on the floor.

Sorry, it's a bit hard to reproduce for me either and as it happened to me the first time it was in the middle of combat so it was hard to take a sudden break and recognize what exactly happened as I was just baff in the first second

I dind't used a DD at this point, so you can get to that stage even without.
I however definitely solved already the previous two stages. If I remember correctly the hag was just switching into active mode when she flickered (like if she was undecided to go active or not - bugged out) but at the same time mobs where coming around, so I took down the mobs first. As like she was not happy about not having the attention she suddenly switched back to passive and the three puzzle sets appeared. But I am not certain if the hirelings thought about damaging her to fall back into passive as there was just to much going on to take care of.
I am not sure anymore if there was a firewall and Disco at her place...

I will today try to reproduce it and then report how I got there... but I got the impression it was the combination of the other mobs around and the fact that there is a gap when she switch between active and passive.

Well, they said they were making elite difficulty more challenging. Maybe that's the elite version

How long did it take you to complete this quest?
15 mins on casual first time stealthing, ignoring all optionals, including re-entry after breaking the big barrel. Will explore it fully on live instead

Are you likely to run this quest more than once on Live?
Only if friends need to craft, if I want some of the loot, or if I'm going to teach people how to stealth.

    Please make additional comments here:
It was really nice seeing a dungeon for people who invested into stealth skills, instead of simply invisirunning (I guess that still would work here, /shrug) or dodging patrols like many of the more recent stealth objectives.

Hag looked cool. I also liked having a bunch of medusa to fight.

Puzzle hurt my head. Doing the puzzle 5 times... very frustrating.
Making the rust monster fly as my archer kited it circling the buttons... Fun!

I also thought it was neat seeing astral diamonds as an option for those of us who hate grind farming.

The design of Siegebreaker is really opposed to stealth completions. If you're stealthy you lose what, 85% of the chests? And the chests were the reason to go there... plus it seems that being stealthy also makes the end fight harder.

Hmm Well, even without much of a reward it was neat to try.

Here's what the end fight looked like without fighting anything else in the dungeon iirc - on casual though of course. Is it much different with the optionals or on harder difficulties?

    • 4 waves of a named Medusa, with a few standard droaam companions. They seemed to have a lot less HP than Hesstess, but used her stone gaze & the dispel ray thing.
    • Hag in between them was less threatening than a harbor kobold shaman. A single respawning Droaam orc while I was doing the puzzles.
    • Ended with a few more droaam soldiers, and an ogre riding a giant rust monster.
I hope he's there with the optionals, that guy was awesome lol.

Was not the stupidly difficult fight stealthing the Frame Work quest can be on a class without nukes. 4 or 5 heal-casting colornames... ugh!

Killing all three medusas in the final chamber should result in an extra end-chest spawning.

Doing the optionals would include killing all the Medusas beforehand.

Yeah, the hag is personally almost non-damaging, especially if you've got some normal buffs on.

Interestingly, the end healers in Frame Work only become red named on Hard and Elite.

Ok, so fighting them all at the end produces 2 chests. But doing optionals along the way is kobold + medusa + medusa + brinky + medusa + end = 6 chests? (Some people pass by the Brinky chest without seeing it)

Unfortunately I'm afraid the bug is not gone completely. I just finished a run where it happened again. I'm not sure what happened exactly and to be honest I'm not keen on trying again. In short, I wanted to check how the end fight looks when I ignore all optionals. I entered on elite on a sorc 20, and zerged past everything while invisible, killed the few mobs needed to drop the barrier, rested at the last shrine and dropped down to the end fight. I had red dungeon alert at the time and during the end fight it was mostly red and only sometimes orange. I fought the mobs mostly just dropping firewalls everywhere and jumping around sometimes invisible to avoid a bit of aggro. I did the 1st puzzle myself and I think the 2nd one (not sure if I finished it or one of the mobs stepped somewhere and finished) but next one was probably completely done by the mobs running all over the place and at some point the puzzle bugged. Below is the screenshot shortly after I noticed it. I believe I was fighting last medusa at the time and the hag was active.

Here is how it looked after the hag went away and I killed most of the spawns. I was ready to complete last puzzle (the quest finished when I completed it, I didn't have to redo the buggy ones). Extra chest for killing medusas appeared a bit earlier.
