Lack of sound

This had been going on for a while since before the latest update, but now it's all the time. My game no longer produces any sound effects. Voice chat will still work fully, but nothing else.

Post a dxdiag! It makes helping much easier. Does your sound work with other programs or is this the only one that is having problems. Also how does it work in your other games. IT could be something as small as a bad driver. Or it could be a bad sound card. It could also be problem with your hardware acceleration. Try changing how the sound is emulated in the game. Also if you have multiple sounds cards. This usually happens if you have a video card that has an hd port as it sends sound through there to. If this is the case try disabling the sound card that you are not using. Anyways try those things and if they don't work post a dxdiag.

I managed to fix it, it turns out that if I had any media player running in the background when I launched the game I would lose sound, and this was just for DDO not any other game.
